Great place in front of the island, we loved this beach, cristal water, like Caribbean. We slept here 1 night, and asked some locals if it was safe, they confirmed that this is a safe place but just said that we shouldn't leave our stuff outside, just for precaution as many fisherman come at night. we didn't here anything, it was a calm night. this beach is better at high tide, in low tide the rocks appear and it's not good for swimming. There are toilets close by for 500 toilet and 1000 shower, didn't use it.

Great place to stop after crossing the border. After India, this is a paradise, quite a few people passed by in cars and tuk tuks and no one even looked at us. Accessible to all vehicles

Same as in 2020, the pool is still closed due to current inside the water which made ppl drown. We negotiated really hard with the women here (Irene) to stay for a night for 50 bol p/p since we had no other place to go (it's sensa now, so you need to be inside or off grid) and she agreed, but normally doesnt take visitors. Since 07:45 this morning she has been knocking on our camper with various questions when we leave and why we are here, she seems heavily confused, we're leaving sooner then planned because quite frankly she is just very annoying, don't recommend to go here

if you're planning on sleeping in the chairs (no room booked) then take a pillow with you or optimally bring an inflatable mattress to sleep on the floor. the chairs themselves are not made for sleep. AC can also be high so bring something warm

another tip for the budget travellers is to bring water and food with you. prices on some things are obscene, the most ridiculous example being a small bottle of water going for 3US$. There are no water fountains and water from the tap is apparently not recommended (I do wonder if that is just a policy they say to sell water, I didn't risk it though).

The view is amazing, it points right to the city center. There are several spots to camp or set a tent but it's quite near to the street. Also, there is too much garbage around, left overs from other campers.

Control for fruits. Only bananas and Melons may Pass. we ate our Avocados and cut and peeled the Apples. friendly but strict.

We got awesome bread here!! The multiple flavored rolls make delicious sandwiches when toasted in a pan. Wish we had gotten more.

The campsite is nicely situated in the green hills. It's still a quiet place where birds wake you up in the morning. Helen is currently building additional places for, larger, vehicles. WiFi is available a bit uphill.

Great place for staying in Cañete. Mery is a very nice 70 year old lady. The house is old and beautiful and everything works perfect: hot shower, good wifi, comfy beds, etc. $20.000 for one person private room. Totally recommended

It’s a beautiful place but we didn’t stay because they asked 600 : 200 per person and 200 for the car. To expensive.

After searching for an hour where to park, we finally met Miguel. His place is as nice, beautiful and calm as the other places, but he charge only 300 for 2 adults, a pet and the car. All the other campgrounds charge double.
Also, Miguel is very very nice. He lend us 2 lanterns so we could have light at night (we didn’t ask for it). He take good care of his land. It is rustic but we’ll maintain with no basuras.
1 shower, clean toilets, bbq places, no wifi, average signal.
We stayed 3 days.
Fill your food supplies before coming.

A bunch of dispersed camping spots past the trailhead parking lot, where the road switches from paved to gravel, keep following it up and there are a lot of options.

Difficult to find with Google maps, don't follow coordinates. Nice flat area overlooking a lake with water this time of year. Super windy today.

We are in a van with limited water so always looking for showers. I called and the front desk put me thru to the supervisor. OK for a nice hot shower. Great facility. I just explained that we were traveling in a small R. V and were spending a few days in New Bern. So I think if you call and ask very politely they will allow you. Bring photo ID. No charge.

Construction is very much still active here, but they seem to be letting both sides go with more frequency. We did not have to wait for long.

gasoline and diesel. clean bathrooms. attendant overcharged me 100 pesos on the car machine,.gave me back in cash. seemed apologetic, be watchful
