this place is cool, so much history. I was the only one here.

Camp Ibis 34.96979, -114.82786

This is the real McCoy. Basic services including water power (bring adapter if not 30 or 50 amp connection) single bathtub/shower in clubhouse $25/night.

Patrick the owner is a good guy and answers into the evening and will give you a spot number to park in.

A train crossing is nearby so you may hear the horns. Two nights ago I did several times, last night none.

McCoy Mobile Home/RV Park 32.74851, -114.63226

Great spot—so much water all around, birds, fishermen… vast tide changes… long bumpy road to get here.

Established campground with 30 amps and showers

4 Point Lodging and RV park 25.27399, -111.79148

Wonderful spot! Very rustic. Basic toilettes and picnic tables. Beautiful scenery…sunsets and sunrises. Quiet spot…the odd howling of the howler monkeys across the lagoon on which dance some funky birds. Highly recommended.

Uno Pueblo - Adolfo López Mateos 18.63486, -90.29211

Nice little spot. Hard to get level. Agreed that it is better than Pinyon fine the road (which I entered). Quite a bit of trash here, but nice view. A few rigs could fit if you were strategic.

Lingfield Lane 36.47551, -94.19558

Yes open camping, not room for a lot of rigs

Open Beach Area 23.67129, -109.69787

We got send away by the police at night fall, so did the two vans that were parked there. It seems this place, however tiny it is, has been made into a "national park" and therefore camping is prohibited. Other than that the spot is very beautiful but probably super busy in summer

Hot Springs next to a river 42.42562, 42.24818

Easy to find. Previous directions are accurate. One van also arrived late to camp but were at a nice distance. A lovely quiet night with a mostly full moon. February is a great time to camp here.

In a clean secure compound managed by friendly nuns. Good location also, highly recommend!

Camped here for a few nights, easily acessable with 2wd, a good free spot not too far away from San Felipe. There were usually at least 3-5 other overlanders here.

If you need a workshop in La Paz look no further. Ernesto and his team are true professionals and took great care of us when our Nissan Navara needed new shocks, the tank welded and a bearing on the rear axle was leaning. Ernesto is fluent in German and Spanish and he learned his mechanical craft in Switzerland. Everyone working at the shop is super friendly and they even rethreaded the axle on the pedal of our bikes which was shot. Even if there are problems due to the car model and spare parts availability, they will find a way and make it work. We stayed in our car during the days they guys fixed our car. 100% recommendation.
