Beautiful lake that you can swim in and jump from the rocks. Lots of fun for the kids. Nothing there so bring sufficient water. You pay but can negotiate, we paid 500 Kwatcha for a family of 4 + foreign car for 2 nights + we gave the security guys 100 (also for making a fire both evenings)

In this area the slope is quite steep and the sand very soft. This might be an issue, especially when you drive the loop counter clockwise because you'll have to go uphill through the soft stuff.

Very beautiful place. We stopped there in the morning to take a walk and have breakfast.
Birds, monkeys, fishermen on the lake, quite a lot of people around, curious and greeting but not bothering.
Flat and shadow.

Very expensive, we paid 18000 for a matrimonial. No breakfast. Very bad WiFi. Very noisy. Hotel was full, lot of people smoking, owners didn't seem to care. Do not recommend this place.

Large campsite with many long term/ permanent campers. However, there is an area for short term travelers. Close to the beaches and coastal towns.

This place was awesome. Easy gravel road for the most part. Large sites up the road, I spotted around 5, plus more down by the river. Gorgeous.

In front of the coast. Rough sea. Partly sandy, but we found a good, solid spot. Easy with 2WD.
In the evening/night the wind was completely fine, in the morning very strong (rooftent).

Its not true that you can’t get the coming from Tabriz: there’s a bridge right at the intersection. Get out of the highway just before the bridge (of course, there’s no exit and no sign, you just get off onto a small gravel track), get down and drive under the bridge. Easy enough.

Although officially not a proper camping site, many campers and overlanders seem to find it and like it. While we stayed there, there were 14 other vehicles and one chap on a bicycle for the night there too.
A lovely place with a nice view. Military photographs your passports and your vehicle registration to register you and someone from the commune comes to collect 25mad communal tax.
There are no toilets or showers. The place is slightly dirty and littered with garbage. Late at night and early morning we were attacked by hundreds of pesky mosquitoes.

Small clearing with an established fire ring along Hickory Ridge trail #4. Road is visible about 100 yards away. Backpack in only, no vehicles allowed.

We were tired and wanted a rest and parked under a tree for shade. Hard packed dirt and gravel in a grassy area. Not too much trash by our estimation.
A local came by and we chatted amicably as we explained our mobile home and our journey. He said he lived nearby and apparently reassured by our harmlessness he invited us to spend the night.
There is some noise from the highway but the road is flat with no slowdowns so vehicles rush by relatively quietly.
A strong claro signal was a bonus.

This is where you make the right turn to head to Telica. Look for a sign on the Right side of the road. It's 8 kn from here to the next Pin on ioverlander. I have a 4x4 toyota 4runner. I did not need 4Lo. 4Hi(AWD) was good enough. My car gas RTT and heavily loaded too.4x4 would be great for added security.

Subway entrance "Meydan e Kohan". End point of line 1 to and from El Golie. Dagestan or the Mozafer Passenger Park are 5 stops from here.
The light bar in the car shows the current station and everything is also labeled in English. The price is actually less than 10,000 Toman.

Paid $35 for a single. Large rooms with cold AC, a big communal kitchen, small pool, and lots of parking. Breakfast included. Rooms need a coat of paint but otherwise comfortable. Quick 2 min walk to the beach. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Owner is from Minnesota, very friendly.

The path down is blocked by laid stones. Doesn't seem that camping is welcome anymore. The place and the laguna is awesome, but we didn't stay, because it seemed to be a deliberately placed blockade.
We don't close it because tents could be still possible...

Only a pullout of the road, but we stayed here, because the "lakeside with a view" was blocked. Also a fireplace in the back, awesome view over the laguna. The road is quiet and so it's no problem to stay near the road. Stunning landscapes in this valley!
No signal on road (last one around Baños coming from north (claro)).

Big restaurant - The hotel below a mile or so wasn’t open, but this place was. Has empanadas tamales etc, ice cream, and even beer and wine! Can buy water but also filter it from the tap in the bathroom. Friendly staff

Tents only! We couldn’t find the place lower down to camp so we carried on climbing, at this point on the left of the road is a grassy area where you could camp but it would be exposed! On the right hand side there’s larger flat space with a small grassy flat area, just enough to fit a tent, you can hear vehicles but you’re not seen. Good for a night, great views and not much wind.

Out of sight - tents only -25.18273, -65.84743
