Went for one night and stayed three. Great campground. Very quiet. We were the only ones in the dry camping area for two nights so very peaceful.

Golf shop has wifi and a seating area with refreshments for sale. Lovely people who run the site. Very friendly.

Showers lovely and hot and lots of room. Clean toilets.

No complaints at all.

Do NOT try to cross with a vehicle on a Friday: customs is closed. We had to wait until Saturday to do all the paperwork. They let us stay after the first gate, directly in front of the customs building for 24 hours. Everyone nice and friendly, no one bothered us.

Water reservoir, we got around 120 liters water, great spot to recharge if you want to spend a few days in the Banc d’Arguin. A few cigarettes made everyone happy.

Beautiful wild camping beach spot! We had a very quiet night and the view was amazing! We preferred this spot as the other ones at playa hermosa were very crowded.

Not in Mexico as ioverlander seems to think but in Guatemala. Excellent cafe, great food, lovely hosts and good WiFi. secure compound with lots of space for camping or rig. We didn't ask but they may allow it. Our route is Santa Cruz Vera Paz to Antigua via backroads and we stumbled upon this spot. Worth the ride. Amazing route. Enjoy ;) (some offroad and water crossings easy by adv motorcycle or 4*4 may need some patience with less) maybe not suitable for a big rig but we did pass some local trucks.

Yair commented my post on Facebook when looking for a Sanidump in the area. Ended up staying for a few nights and he repaired some stuff on my RV. He and his wife are very welcoming, their place is small but safe and well equipped. He repaired stuff I couldn’t find solutions anywhere else on my way from Guatemala.

Slept in my car in the last row of parking spots. No issues all night. Walmart is not 24 hours but opens early so bathrooms were good to go when i woke up. Water available for purchase inside

The facilities are simple but functional. The spots are beautifull on the beach within the palmthrees. Felt ery safe here and the owners are very lovely people.

Stupid expensive but I was fatigued and needed a place quickly! 52,000 per night with breakfast (amazing buffet). Room overlooking ocean, all the niceties of a hotel, helpful staff and safe parking for my moto in the carpark downstairs. Great access to beach and esplanade.

stayed the night, no issues. I am in a passenger vehicle though, so I blend in more than vans.

If you need a proper workshop and 4x4 outfitter, you’re at the right place. It’s a one-stop workshop. These guys don’t only fit your gear they think „4x4“. Very professional, everything’s well maintained, reasonably priced. I can highly recommend that place if you want to kit out an overlander rig or simply need some maintenance on your car. Yair repaired our motorhome, upfront prices and clear timing. Did it while providing the first full hookup and sanidump I’ve seen since Guatemala.

Very small (1 spot for big rig only), contact in advance. He also fixed some stuff on my rig.

a really large and clean truck stop, propane service was excellent, then you drive only 50 ft to fill your gas tank. a different area that you can picnic or overnight at.

Great place to spend a couple of days just relaxing. Camping has all amenities - clean bathroom, hot water, toilet paper (!) and soap (!)! Like described every pitch has its own BBQ place, hamkok, table, chairs/bench, firewood. You can also do some trackings in the area, they offer alpaca therapy, food, in the neighborhood you can buy some great goat cheese. The family is more then kind and friendly and helpful. By far one of the best campsites in Chile - for location, amenities, price (10 CLP per adult, kids don't pay)! Whatch newly pit pictures!

I was hit twice here by corrupt policeman. I am not sure but think they may have been working together. One accused me of being in the wrong lane for a truck, I am a motorhome and then as soon as I set off another stopped me and accused me of jumping a red light. I couldn’t download the data quick enough and he threatened if I didn’t pay straight away he would remove my front number plate.

Stayed here on a Friday night, just passing thru. Empty. No issues. Porta-bathroom in the parking lot. Trash cans and dog bags available. Maybe an issue midweek, as it seems to be shared with local businesses. Big rigs...it's probably ok?

It‘s a really good place! Nice peoble and gras on your ground. We really enjoyend to stay here! At evening you can stay in the shared room with a fire.

Only about 8 spots, 4 to the left 4 to the right. To the left there was only one spot that appeared to be actually campers. They rest had “long term homeless encampment” vibes. The ones to the right are very shallow except for the first two spots.

Right in front of the wooden house you can drive on to the dry lake. I entered and then turned left. Nobody bothered me and the place was amazing!

Large car park with no height limit, close to the metro, ideal for spending the night and visiting the city.

Absolutely stunning. I'm sad I only spent one night here. We were booked in for 1 but due to some rain days before they had to move us to 3. Stunning drive around the pans to get here (OSMAnd+ got us here okay, not Google), with lots of animals including elephants along the way. The site had a nice drop toilet, plus a bucket shower. The staff even came out to make sure we found it okay and everything was okay.
It was so peaceful and isolated, I can't wait to go back.

We have done a reservation for next day at TMC office in the city. The woman spoke English very well. Told us 5250 Pesos for our Landcruiser less than 6 meters. Next morning we received the confirmation by mail. At the ferry terminal we paid 5250 Pesos as announced. We have a pop-up roof, cooker in the car. Nobody would like to sell the RV tariff. On the cargo ferry we could sleep in the car like the truck drivers. Easy. Have fun.

Was recommended to a great bike mechanic here. They worked on my KLR 650 and gave me a great price. The owner of the shop also has a GS1200 so they’re very familiar with big bikes.

This spot is perfect for motopackers, certainly not worth ascending this hill on a bicycle or on foot and impossible in a car! It’s a bit steep and narrow, road leads way up to some villages in the mountains and logging camps nearby. So the spot is actually a road cut into a clearing in the middle of lots of tree plantations. We camped right in view of the road and met many friendly locals passing on their bikes. If it’s hot you can ride further along into the forest and have loads of shade and a cooler breeze. Amazing sunset and a fog filled valley lookin like a white frothy river all morning.

Beautiful and quiet place right by a stream. No traffic, kind of remote. Stayed there for a night and would have spent more time if we were'nt heading to Burlington.

Called the museum several days prior and they told me I could park in the large lot in front of the McMahon. So I checked with the McMahon, they said that people do it all the time, no problem. But if they are having an event, the parking lot could get really crowded. Those are usually weekends, but not all weekends.

We were there on a Wednesday. The lot was empty and it was quiet all night. The Museum is worth visiting, which is why we stopped.

Nice and quier spot. We were happy to have 4x4 - the track has some really sandy spots
