At the Diesel pumps for trucks there are multiple water taps with and without a hose. You can also connect your own hose.

Clean city water, good pressure.

don't drive the road further down. it is very deep clay which took us hours to recover from. we even had to cut some trees to get out.

Camping das Gaivotas -29.16492, -49.58390

wow, what a nice place. we slept here for two very quiet and dark nights. no noise and no light at night. the river is cold but very clear, we jumped in several times. some locals passed by over the day, but noone at night.

one of our best places for a long time.

Río Renaico / Renaico Riverside -37.84255, -72.39430

Decent spot down double track. After getting off main road, cross a bridge then right onto a double track. A few pull offs. Spotty cell service. Did fine with an extender.

Pinyon 36.47603, -94.19756

I stayed here for one night and didn’t get good rest. The site is level, but VERY trashy. There is beer bottles everywhere, heaps of trash bags piled up around the trash cans and picnic tables. Cars and trucks flew by all night with loud exhausts. There was a few vehicles that pulled in after midnight playing loud music and hung out for a little while which was annoying. Overall I didn’t feel at ease here. 1-2 bars Verizon service.

went on a Sunday, busy as hell since this chain is the only one in St. George open on Sunday. Absolutely no option to spend cash, you are forced to download a sketchy app, give personal info, and then just dump your cc info. no option for tap pay via card or phone. no way to transfer card details from phone app. very inconvenient, honestly more of a headache than it was worth.

Dixie Laundromat 37.10772, -113.56160

Great area... I would recommend camping near the canyon entrance where a few washes come together to make a larger open area. Just a bit past the marker... road is decent and you can get a smaller trailer down but definitely nothing but 4x4 into the canyon. Lots of great hikes around... no cell service but you can get signal top of the hill where you come in.

Joey's Hole 32.83217, -116.16155

decent/okey place. owners are not the friendliest but the room has what it needs. shower is phenomenal in terms of temperature, bed is fairly stiff, no ventilation in the room we got. works well for the night

This isn’t located at these coordinates. There’s nothing out here but a bunch of farmland. Don’t waste time by driving out here.

Rosehill Community Center 47.94543, -122.30239

Arrived sunday after lunch and the reception was closed. Looked at the place, the previous comments herr on ioverlander and the website. Looks like they don’t have a single rate and I didn’t feel like to have the discussion on a monday morning after I stayed already to pay 450 rand weekend rate per site.

Left and went 4 km down the road to a family run business with only 3 campsites (also at the dam) - so much more private, for 150 per night (person) - which was just the perfect decision ! I would absolutely recommend Bulshoekfarm down the road.

Rondeberg Resort -32.00052, 18.77725

Family run business at the shore of the dam.
3 campsites each with private ablutions, power plug (bring an extension), tap & braai place.

There is a type of a communal area - concrete slab with a roof structure, where you find a sink.

Owners are Laré & David Thys Low. +27 82 533 3995 BULSHOEKFARM - officially closed on a sunday. Maybe better in general to give them a quick buzz before you arrive to make sure they have space.
They answered immediately my whats app when I pitched with no booking on a Sunday at the gate and been very accommodating.

Campsite might be nothing for serious vegetarians as they run a piggery and butchery on the premises :-)
But therefore a good stopover for the pork meat friends to stock up. They have everything porkish ! The most lovely rooibos infused gammon, bacon etc, but also the normal pork neck steaks, schnitzels and more ! You can also place an order if you just travel past and fetch your goodies.

Lots of sheep also running around on the farm.

Enjoyed the quietness of the camp - I was the only camper. There are several chalets to rent - so it can get busy over weekends. The dam is well used for fishing, boating and watersports and swimming !

camping rate is 150 pppn.

No solar backup during load shedding. Be prepared that the cellphone signals also drops during load shedding. There is wifi included.

Wood and ice available.

A lovely farm stay experience!

Bulshoekfarm Accomodation Campsite & Chalets -32.01550, 18.79080

Nice place. You can park on flat solid sand next to the pier. Easy access and big enough for any kind of vehicule. We stayed there with other overlanders who spent 3 nights : the police checked them only to ask if they need anything, so it seems totally fine to stay there. The ferry come twice a week (at least at this season). Access to the beach (and we saw indeed two dolphins !). Very quiet.

Raul Marin Balmaceda -43.76992, -72.95264

Good plaze to camp in the parking lot. Clean toilet and showers. 10 Min. Walk to city center. 100$ per Perso per night. Think most vehicles will fit...

Campestre Doña Moncha 18.61682, -95.66567

Don’t make the same mistake I did and parked within the parking spots at the cliff side where construction barriers are set.
50 dollar parking ticket that I woke up to…

(Worth it)

Wildcamp next to the Lake -39.77637, -72.12250

Open. Odd place as there are several campings right next to each other, "Sector 1," "Sector 2" etc. I chose the one marked as Sector 1 and had a hot shower and a nice place to pitch by the lake. 10'000 pesos for one.
