Puma petrol station.

They had diesel and Super. There’s a shop express as well.

There’s also a Total Energies Petrol Station in this town.

They both seem reasonably new.

We stayed here as we could not make it to Virei before dark (coming from Chibia). It's in between Cainde and Virei with probably no village close by. Beautifully peaceful. Very nice sunset. No mosquitos to talk of (many small flies, though, before darkness).

Nice, quiet camp spot off the Virei - Cainde road. -15.53851, 13.28640

I agree that the boys here are good boys. I would come back.

Paid 500KSH for the room and the restaurant was a value when I asked for a plate at 200 shillings.

Totally agree! Very nice place and different to the campgrounds one usually find in MA.
Try it.

(Be aware: I guess it not accessible for bigger rigs. Pickups, 4x4 etc. are okay)

I slept great here. I noticed there were a couple of car campers and one other van camper there. The parking lot has 24/7 surveillance or at least they have an audio recording that goes off every 30 minutes saying so. I thought the audio would wake me up at some point at night, but it did not. Maybe they stop running it after a certain time? I didn't go inside the store, so I'm not sure about the bathrooms. There were some traffic noises, but nothing that kept me awake.

Omg what a refreshing surprise to find some flavourful and different food in Uyuni. The ramen was delicious and vegetarian too and great for a cold night. Owners are very sweet too.

I believe the pin is not in the correct place. This location is pretty much in the mine, to get here keep heading south up the climb after the mine and you will reach a grassy area to camp. Continue on past two farmhouses on the left and then there is plenty of flat grassy area to camp.

Small campground with about 7 hookup sites and tent sites beside railway line. Sites are pull-thru with electrical and water hookups. Gravel pads with grass between sites and a few trees but no shade. $30 for hookups and $20 for tents. Seasonal restrooms a bit rustic with curtains in front of toilet cubicles but they are clean. Showers and flush toilets. Campground is in town but we saw deer walk thru after dark. Fairly busy with trains coming thru but we slept OK with ear plugs.

We absolutely loved this place. Gerry and Ramsey took good care of us. They have a nice pub and a beautifull sitting area (with small playground) outside. Price for camping is 150 ZAD pppn.

Fantastic restaurant! They serve traditional food from Parà, we came here twice and everything was really delicious, one of our favourite restaurants in Brazil. Prices are absolutely fair, you can also choose the mini version of each meal if you want to try different things. Juices are amazing as well.
It's very popular so try to come here early if you want to be sure to find a table

One of many private spots amongst the trees on the banks of the river. Most have established fire rings and give access to the river. Busy on summer weekends but otherwise okay and quiet at night. Enter the road that follows the canal from the north. At a cafe you can cross a little canal and the bike path. From there head south and pick your spot.

Very busy in what seems to be more of a lakeside park than a camping spot. I was there on a rainy Sunday night.
Access is easy but road is quite noisy. Playground for kids, easy access to the lake for a swim and 3 or 4 sheltered tables.
Wouldn’t recommend if you’re after proper wilderness, but useful if you want to be close to the city and the main road

We arrived here desperate with problems with the Kombi, and Mr. Ivan and his family were very kind, in addition to the mechanical services they have a small restaurant that serves lunch for $2.50, the food is delicious and they are amazing people. We resolved what we needed in the Kombi and they let us stay for a few more days until we completed the procedures at Agrolocalidad to travel with our dog to Colombia. I highly recommend it.

Super recomendo.

Avoid weekends! There was a 1,5 hour waiting time for a private pool so we didn't go (Sunday).

An excellent restaurant! Nice atmosphere and the food is really delicious. If you are in town, do not miss this place.
As we were there it took a bit of time, until we got the food, so bring a bit of patience. But the waiting is more than worth it!
It is located directly at a small lake also with a parking lot, where you can park your car for small money.

Casa Yábar -13.68740, -71.62808

Clean, nice hotel though a tad hard to find (sign only to be found on door which is unreadable when open) at first. Super nice front desk guy who dropped the price from 150 immediately to 100 without me even asking and actually even told me "If you have no money, it is okay- no problem" when I went to pay him. I suspect this is because we were doing a combo of Arabic, French, Spanish and English- he probably thought my confused expression was worrying about price. I was in room 302 which is away from the noise of the street and bright and breezy. There was a shower in the room but with no hot water. The communal hallway shower was hot, though, with great pressure. Very much recommended.

we spent one night here. it would have been perfect if a panhandler didn't pound on our window at 2:57am, waking us up. we didn't fall back asleep until after 4am.

other than that, it was quiet and there was coffee in the morning!

3 campsites in a row and in close proximity to each other. Easy access, quiet and beautiful views in every direction. As stated by a previous review, there are quite a few flies. Very good T-Mobile.
