Lovely but tiny public park with picnic table, grill and dock by the Esopus Creek. Used by fishers apparently. Lot is small my 21 foot campervan was about the limit. Three spaces for overnight parking clearly designated. There is a aintained Porta potty in the lower parking lot. Quiet residential area, but parking lot is exposed to street and faces a large apartment building. It is quite a good find. Perfect for an overnight in a historic community of NY. That said, I suspect the overnight spaces will fill quickly in warm weather seasons.

Still corrupt. We made a big thing there, because we didnt want to give our driving license. We showed them all reviews, had to go the commander. We have a Senegalese friend who called the commanders boss, so they were suddenly very friendly and let us go. We talked to other tourists on the spot, they've paid 12k cfa as well. They told us its 'normal' on this spot. We made a report on

Sécuritaire, grand stationnement avec beaucoup de vans. Bruit de fond la nuit à cause du bruit des vans.

Nice area for an overnight stop. We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon and 4 sites were occupied plus there were a few folks fishing. There is construction going on about 12 mile up river with trucks going in and out during the day, but it was quiet at night.

We are in a 35' Class A and towing a car and space 2 was the perfect size for us!

This spot is marked as „Vizitúra sátorhely / Free campsite“ on Google and seems to belong to the local community. Large grassy field, some trees, benches and tables. A bistrot is close by. We stayed with a tent & bicycles here, seems to be completely fine for a night. No facilities.

Beautiful views but ticks everywhere. Our dog was out for less than ten minutes and we pulled at least 5 ticks off of her. Too bad - it’s a great spot otherwise.

We spent one night here at the parking lot in front of the balneario. Very quiet and safe, guards around 24h. Toilets are open 24h, too. For the hot springs you can go in and out as many times as you want during the day just keep the ticket!
When you pass the entrance barrier drive all the way to the balneario ticket office where you pay for the camping $6 per person and $9 per person for the hot springs.
We came around 6pm and enjoyed the hot springs and then slept at the far end of the parking next to the bushes.
Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

Parked in the gravel parking lot next to the Walmart parking where we spotted some truckers, RVs and a couple of other vans. No one bothered us - a good place to stay!

Walmart Barstow 34.88281, -116.99179

There is some space for larger vehicles (like our truck camper) here, but it is tight if you have a larger vehicle. The bathrooms are excellent and have hot water 24/7. Wifi is good, but our mobile data was faster. $2.000 pesos per night. Very helpful owner.

Nice dirt lot surrounded by trees along the river. Houses and businesses nearby but pretty quiet. Porta potties in lot and free wifi. Didn’t have any problems and slept well with the sound of the river. Quiet and dark at night.

Good job. But they charge you a minimum of 5 kg. That's a lot of laundry. We had one basket, which was only 3.5 kg, but had to pay 200 NAD. So to us it was expensive.

Lifestyle Laundrette -22.58470, 17.09189

Loved this place. We arrived at 11:30 AM and were greeted warmly by the staff. The lady showed us around and let us pick a campsite. Ablutions are 10/10. Very clean and amazing hot water showers. Also a very convenient kitchen with gas cooker.

Phone signal is bad. At one place we managed to get some 3g signal, but that was about it.

Price is still $10 or 180 kwacha pppn

apparently can no longer stay here. We asked at both the park and a place that seemed like a sports center and military base. They said they cannot host people to camp.

Dirt pull off on the side of the road. Pretty spacious. We parked our 2WD Sprinter in the back. The middle is the most flat spot. We didn't want to use our leveling blocks to not bring more attention to us. Road is family quiet at night. We had no issues when we stayed one night. One bar ATT, no Verizon. Other pull outs along this road that are both smaller and larger than this one. I'd recommend this one since you can tuck yourself into the back of the pull out to be more low key.

Pin is approximate. As you arrive in Sodwana, navigate to the lighthouse restaurant, after this, with the restaurant on your right hand side, turn right down small track and then turn immediately right again and you will reach an orange-ish gate at the end of a short track. Campsite in a lush garden setting. Good hot water shower. Archi is a great host and knowledgable about the area. There is a shared kitchen, communal fire pit area, though you can also do you own by your camp. Lots of shade. PowerPoints at campsites. Secure. Though overall would describe as simple, informal camping, only a few pitches. Perfect base if you are diving in Sodwana! Would recommend sending a WhatsApp to Archi so he can arrange to meet you and send you the gate code (there is no doorbell) he can also send you a better location pin: +27 (74) 164-3646. 150pppn.

Great spot! Funky smell outside.
Some industrial noises all night. Very pretty! I just read the review warning people to stay away. I'm happy I didn't read that before staying here.
