Stayed here for a night, with a few other overlanders. Very bright parking lot, quiet, filled up with gas in appreciation. There is no dump station here! Confirmed with front desk. Because of the construction I wouldn’t recommend a 40’+ RV. A semi asked us to move as he made the mistake of entering the parking lot thinking he would be able to park in it.

There’s outdoor toilets at the moment for construction I believe, so 24hr toilets!

Além do mirante, também dormimos na frente da praça da cidade (porque o senhor do mercadinho em frente gentilmente nos emprestou sua internet para trabalharmos). É uma pequena rua, mas cabem muitos veículos. Nos sentimos seguros, sem facilidades por perto.

In addition to the mirador, we also slept in front of the city square (because the man in the small market across the street kindly lent us his internet so we could work). It's a small street, but many vehicles can fit. We felt safe, with no facilities nearby.

Spent a great night and day here, went for the all included option with 2 game drives and 4 ‘feedings’ a day. We stayed at the cottage which is nice and has self catering option. Hot water and 220v power all day long, great food and got to see lions take down a young zebra, 2 leopards at the waterhole at the camp and spotted another leopard the next day too. All in all well worth the money as it is all clean and tidy with good food and new vehicles for the drives too. No mascom coverage. BTC coverage, drinkable water, just off the dirt road, 4x2 acces should work. Road to platjan is seriously bad on the Botswana side, so go slow. Planning to go again.

Great spot to camp here, spacious, easy to drive to with a 2WD, quiet, overlooks the reservoir, trash can, portable toilet (or a toilet block just a short walk away to where the park is). There were a few of us parked here overnight with no issues. There is a 5k cycle path that goes all around the lake, great for a run, walk or cycle.

In this Petrobras, at the entrance of Naranjal city, there are hot showers, clean, and free.

Spot does not appear to be closed. New sign has been posted, I uploaded a picture of it (the blue one). Great spot for sunrise and sunset and overall pretty quiet. No one bothered me, the road traffic can be a little annoying but not intrusive. Overall, super great spot!

it's open! 500 ars pp, 2 hot tubs, quiet, no reception. perfect to relax :)

Adding this just to let people passing through (and not necessarily looking for a campground) know that there are public showers here. $2.00 each for non-campers.

Actually called Cedar Pass campground now. Still free. We had it all to ourselves on a Saturday evening. Loop spot with creek rapids to drown out what very little road noise there was.

Laundry below 5Q / lb. Above 3.5. The place above weighed my clothes with me there, 29 lbs. He wrote it down and everything, plus I saw the scale. 21 for the first bag plus 8 for the second bag.

When I came at the end of the day, the women working there told me the man had to charge for 2 more lbs and it was a mistake. I brought exact change and they were a real pain in the ass about it. I told them they can take it or leave it. That was their problem and not mine.

For the hassle, go with the ladies below. They were super sweet, just a bit too expensive for how much laundry we had to do.
More than double what we were used to in Mexico.

Roughly 10 RVs here tonight. Quiet but for the highway sounds.

Got in late. Paved road was a little bumpy but made it just fine in our 23’ rv. Plenty of space. Beautiful views. We didn’t need to use ours but bring leveling blocks if you want a flat stay.

verry nice Hospedaje! Friendly owners, run by a local family. Breakfest was verry good. 8000 ARS for 2 Persons one night. Safe Parking for all type vehicels.

GPS coordinates are fine here, unsure what previous poster had trouble with. However there are now signs saying No Trespassing, No Camping, No Campfires. I see families still camping here though, so camp at your own risk. Nice spot right by the river.

This is the overflow and boat trailer parking lot of Skutz Falls. Just a large gravel lot open to main road. We camped here for the night with no issues. A guy in a white car with a tarp covering his back windows and child hanging out of the passenger window stopped by to say cops might tell us to leave but we can pay $10 to stay on his land lol.

You really can't ask for more if you are looking for a free campsite that's private, only 7 minutes from the highway. We stopped for the night on our way to Bend from Crater Lake. 5 campsites with fire rings

A very nice waterfall on a basalt rock. Entrance fee is still 1000. Open from 10-18. The best sun from around 11-15.

Quiet evening and night w excellent sunset view over mountains and view over town. Multiple “campsites”, I stayed at the 2nd one in between this gps point and the one to the west.

Some glass at pullouts and not super level, but decent. Firerings available.

Needed a spot to stay after a long day of hikes, this place was great! Beautiful views (even though it was foggy), a bit of a rocky uphill to get there but we did it in our shuttle bus. A few branches hit the sides but it wasn’t bad. Would definitely stay here again!

This spot is indeed pretty isolated in between some mountains next to a stream. It is a dirt road for a few files, but doable with regular vehicle. I did it with my 13ft trailer. I imagine it gets muddy when it rains so probably avoid it then.

Absolutely no cell in this area but Starlink worked flawlessly. I was expecting the mountains to block it but it worked reliably.

Some garbage was left behind as people always tend to do, but it wasn’t too bad. Broken glass and a fender of a car.

Some pullouts on the side of the road leading up to this spot that could be backups for a night.

*** NOTE: Someone spilled a large amount of gasoline on this spot and it is very noticeable. Seeped into the soil so there will likely be gasoline vapours and smell for a while ***

If you dont need this spot for its open-air (Starlink) there are nicer spots further down this road.

Stayed for one night, pretty quiet for a Walmart. Signs still up allowing 24hr parking for RV/Campers

Great quiet place - current price for campground: 3,000 C/p Nice amenities.
Very easy and quick access from the road (paved). Watch out & turn left just before the new hospital! Recommend this place.

I should also like to note that after this gas station, the road is primarily uphill - should this influence whether or not you want to refuel ;D

Big and busy campsite with 6 toilets and only one (yes, 1) shower. When you arrive, most campers stay on the section nearest to the ablution block, but when turn right before entering the campsite, there are additional pitches. Nice views over the ocean!

Nice spot, super quiet. we slept there one night, no problem. the neighbourhood is super friendly.
