There are a few very clear signs at both entrances to the parking lot that say “No overnight Tractor Trailer or RV parking, violators will be towed”. I didn’t want to risk it so I moved to the Cracker Barrel down the street and stayed with no issues. I’m not sure if the person who added this location spoke with someone at Walmart who said that they do allow overnight parking but the “no parking” signs at the entrances are pretty clear. Park at your own risk but in my opinion it’s not worth it with the other available options nearby

Pretty much all has been said. There is a subway across the street and gas station with diesel

Good Hotel in the center of Ben Gardane. The street in front is save according to the Hotel staff. But we we're aloud to to put our 2x small bikes in the garage. There is only space for two small bikes. We paid 50 TND for a double room including BF. Seems a good trade for us

Google maps will take you dow the wrong road, make sure to take the road just south (see other comments) If you drive up and start to see buildings you’re on the wrong road. Very chill spot, just one other camper. Felt very safe. Soft sand to camp on. Low tide so not a great swim spot, but very beautiful and peaceful.

We spent a very quiet night here :)) We had dinner with our friends at night, and had the participation of Pepe and his family. The beach here is really good, with few waves and super clean. Pepe asks for a voluntary help, but at the end charged 20USD for the 4 cars (we were in a group of friends). We said we had seen that friends paid about 2USD per car, and he accepted 10USD for everyone.

Passamos uma noite MUITO tranquila por aqui :)) fizemos um jantar à noite, e tivemos a participação do Pepe e de sua família. A praia aqui é muito gostosa, com poucas ondas e super limpa. Pepe pede uma ajuda voluntária, mas chegou a cobrar 20usd para os 4 carros (estávamos em um grupo de amigos). Nós falamos que tínhamos visto que os amigos pagavam cerca de 2usd por carro, e ele aceitou 10usd por todos.

Here starts the transit road to Gonarezhou NP through the private Wildlife Reserve of Malilangwe. No stop and mo touristic activities allowed on this transit (about 40 km).

Everything as described. It's a nice place to park your rig there and explore Lima by taxi. Carla and Javier are very nice. They have a cold outdoor shower and a basic outdoor kitchen. We could use the pool and the washing machine and paid 60S/night for two people in a truck camper.

We got an extension of our visa for 30 days easily and quickly. 1.5 hours including copy shop. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Recommendation: go to the copy shop first (nearby). A folder is being prepared there. In the office, it's best to go straight to the first floor. In the office on the left is an elderly man who speaks very good English. He signs. Then on the ground floor to the counter. Pay by card. If you don't have a card, the officers will ask another customer. An official made his card available to us.
Prices: Copy shop 500,000 Rial. Visa 500,000 Rial (~ 1 US-$)

Extension for 60 days is usually possible, but takes several days.

Garage service for vehicles and motorcycles. If you are traveling and don't know where to stay, this is a safe place for travelers.

Great place with magical gardens. Host Fred was most helpful with a few technical issues. We left our vehicle there for a week whilst we flew to Namibia.

the road was certainly an adventure. It had rained heavily a few days before and the last 40km were pretty exciting. water to our doors countless times and one muddy rutted hill. (got up without getting stuck) most of the puddles although deep had firm underneath.

on our return 5 days later and nearly no rain the puddles lost 30cm plus of water and the rutted hill was flat and smooth. still slow and bumpy but manageable

the most exciting thing was that we spoke to some road builders on our way back who had started making about 10km of better dirt road and they said in about 2 months they should have a road through that 40km section... 🤞

Exited SA at Twee Rivieren - Australian car on Carnet. Stated intention to exit into Namibia at Mata Mata in 10 days time.

Police entered vehicle details into system and inspected car. Insisted that CDP needed to be stamped out, even though remaining in SACU.

Process all very quick and easy and all in the one building.

We exited at Mata Mata and we were referred to customs in Keetmanshoop for carnet to be stamped into Namibia. Which was no problem. Customs location in Keetmanshoop is correct per iOverlander.

The access road has a height limit of 3.40m and costs $1. The parking lot is difficult to navigate for large rigs due to a low-hanging tree and a narrow house wall. Max height 3.40m. The price $10 per big rig. The neighboring square is now separated from the beach by a new bar. Swimming is not possible here at either place. No amenities. Nice bars and restaurants in the area.

Handy spot since there's not many affordable campgrounds around here - if you Park on the west side of the road you're not too close to people's houses, and at the top of the road it's across from a convention Centre or something. Still best to arrive late and leave early though, head round to the car park by steamer lane and watch the surfers for breakfast. The bathrooms close by were locked when we tried to use them in the morning, had to wait until 8 for them to open.

Picnic and parking area where you can spend the night. Very quiet at this time of year. The weekend comes to fish and spend the day.

Andy is a really nice guy, speaks English very well and probably is in most cases a good mechanic. However, I would not go here with something complicated. When things don’t go how they should go and become more difficult, he doesn’t have the knowledge/experience/perseverance to solve them. We ended up going to a different mechanic to get the problem solved. But I think he is a good mechanic to solve the straightforward things.

nice place, between the highway and a lake, 29$ for a rv with service. 1$ for 3 minute shower.

grass land, riverside .perfect for after Kuala-lumpur and mountain boot.

Spent 1 night here just before crossing to Guatemala. Perfect spot, surprisingly quiet. Even had a free shower. Station is closed at night so no one bothered. Cameras all around the place.

Average Walmart stay. Early morning, there was a lot of engine revving around 5 minutes from a single vehicle. Maybe they were getting off work and needed to warm their car?

Slept very well. Very quiet. Lots of greens. Highly recommended if you want to be the first one to arrive at the ruins at 6AM since if you park outside the entrance, the next morning you still have a 20min drive to the entrance of the ruins (plus another 30min walk from the ticket check point to the ruins) We we’re the first one to arrive and we had the ruins all to ourselves until 7AM.

Regarding the campground. Campground with basic facilities. Bathroom and showers in okishhh conditions open from 6PM to 6:30AM but you can request the security guard, Noe, to open it if you need it outside that range of hours.

200 pesos per person, ample space, barbecue grills and plugs. clean bathrooms and hot showers, but little water came out and we couldn't take a shower. for the price it is very good
