Endroit parfait pour visiter Samaípata, encore merci pour l’aide que nous avons reçu suite à la casse de notre radiateur, le propriétaire s’est occupé de tout! Du mécanicien pour démonter/remonter jusqu’à amener le radiateur à Santa Cruz pour sa réparation. Fortement recommandé !

We really liked the Nazca Lodge. ‘Henri’ is very friendly and can tell you a lot about Nazca. He also offers tours and has a glamping. A little bit expensive (50 sols) but definitely worth it.

The gate is always closed. On the door of the gate is a number which you can call and then Henri will open the door for you.

Nice little family run site in an orange grove. 200m from the sea and a 15 min walk to the central city.
Nice and shady - but ask for a pitch without overhanging limbs if you’re over 2.5m.
Fantastic staff met us with lentil soup!

not the most luxurious but you can take a shower after visiting wadi Al Arbeen

stayed 1 night. Our group had 2 large travel trailers with pickup trucks. We arrived after store closing and left by 7am. There was a helicopter coming Ang going throughout the night, but with earplugs we were fine.

Ended up here since other places are closed during winter. Sign says fee area but couldn’t find where to pay so just parked for the night.

About 2 bars of signal. Bathrooms are closed during winter, so just a parking lot. Very quiet and was the only car here. Very cold during winter.

Would stay here again when passing through.

Pros: Super easy to check in, probably not even necessary, they do have rv spots but if you have a van the security man said you can park wherever. No one bothered me after that & they scan the lot about every hour or so just to make sure vehicles / rv’s are alright (they don’t talk to you, just a visual scan). Place looked clean enough & everyone was super kind!

Cons: oof this place is LOUD. So there’s a lodge entrance & a casino entrance, the rv area is in the casino entrance & very close to the main entrance of the casino so all night (& morning, it’s open 24hrs) there were people coming out & blaring music in their cars, screaming, slamming doors, this poor big dog in someones car started barking at 4am & started up again at 7am. If you’re a light sleeper I don’t recommend this place, a turn out will probably be a better choice & you’ll have the same amount of highway noise minus the ruckus from casino goers.

Walmart Parking Lot. Stayed here overnight no problems. no signs saying we couldn't and 2 campervans stayed. security camera and police patrol and no issues. Walmart staff said you only get moved on if you cause issues

Smaller family run campground. Super nice hosts. Super clean flushing toilets. Large showers with lots of pressure and the water is HOT! Telcel full bars. Walking distance and closest camp to village square. 150mx for motorcycle camping. Great horned owl lives in the trees.

nice small camping 5 minutes walking to the main street. Good wind protection, friendly staff, wifi is ok, hot water. So a good place to stay in Calafate

such a beautiful spot, perfect for night photos, first time in SA was happy load shedding time was perfect for round 2 of star shots. peaceful place so close to Cape Town, great for weekend getaways

The North location is open but .25 miles west that location is not .10$ to dry camp , noise from interstate quieted

Very cool and quiet place to spend the night next to Rio Celeste 10km aprox from the national park. This place is located between and public park and a big mobile antenna. The park has children playground and a big soccer field, as well tables and benchs under some roof for shadow and rain protection. We arrived around 4pm and only 2 cars were there after dark we were alone. Only the police pass by a couple of time after that. Some noice from the main road since is less than 100m away. But again after dark some occasionall trucks. Very recommended. (see pics)

Nice town, two restaurants walking distance. English speaking owner.
Rooms are typical very basic with hot water and a good heater.
500 Pecos for one person.

Great beach for camping. There are restaurants not too far away. Saw lots of birds, went swimming and snorkeling. Easy to get to groceries and restaurants. No facilites at the campsites.

Cool pull out spot with the upper level having a 16 hour stay limit. Right off the highway. I just pulled off to work for a couple hours but would definitely stay the night. Good signal att. Bathrooms on lower level.

slept here for a night. very bright parking lot and early workers made for a short night.

Pulled in after dark. Washrooms were open.
Far enough from I5 that you don’t hear that traffic but there’s a bit of local traffic beside park.
Police came to drive through the lot at 7:30 am but didn’t pay any attention to us.
It was raining but it seems like a really nice park.
Free sani dump with water was open but the fresh water was still off for winter.
Nice peaceful place, felt safe. Would come back here again.

March 2nd, 2023: 500 pesos for 2 adults and 2 kids without services. The site and the swimming pool are very nice. Pet friendly. Bee tours included. Wifi only in the lobby. Rooster and dogs all night. Rooster lives directly on the campsite without service so we decide to stay only 1 night.

We stayed one night. Got in when it was dark, around 7 pm, and woke up to snow! Beautiful views, no one else was there. The bathrooms were nice and I am so happy to have stumbled upon this gem!

No charge for camping here. Several other vans, RV’s and trailers. 30 camping limit. Very quiet but very windy night. 1 bar Verizon 5G.
