Awesome, comfortable, clean B&B with only 2 rooms available. New, modern and affordable. 12000 pesos Argentinos or 34 US$ (blue dollar), January 2023. High season. Marcela, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. Good wifi, breakfast included, electric kettle in the room. No parking, but town is quite safe (I've used a cover for my motorcycle). Only cash or bank transfer accepted, but Marcela accepted dollars.

Reopened this spring. New campsite has been beautifully rebuilt but no more privacy between sites. Its more like an rv park now. Hope in the future that the trees n foliage between sites will grow back. Because of id likely not stay again and am cutting my week stay short. If youre used to being stacked in and dont mind the lack of privacy you will be fine 🤷‍♀️

River crossing which allows you to reach the offroad that connects Guallali with Troyo. There is a blue gate which is the entrance to the crossing. It wasn't locked when we crossed the river (ask at neighbouring houses for the key if its locked). In mid January the water was 40-50cm deep and we had no problems crossing in a stock Toyota 4Runner with all-terrain tires. The offroad up ahead requires high clearance and can be done in a 4x2 if going north to south in dry conditions. When wet it will most likely become very hard and dangerous at places. We used 4x4 and reductor extensively to make it easier.

Uxmal Pyramides: Pretty expensive, see attached picture of prices, 500p per person plus 80 Pesos for parking, camping is extra (300pesos). Didn't visit the pyramides cause we think it's overpriced and we don't want to support this. Wouldn't have come here if we had known the price before.

There are two spigots. I drove by the first one and thankful I didn’t have to turn around after finding the second. I recommend the second spigot anyways as the first one is where most of the cars park to go use the facilities.

Push the lever down and hold down the opening to make the water flow out of the threaded spigot. A 15-20 ft hose is needed.

Great campsite, one night for $26 for electric and water hookup! You can call over the phone to reserve. Has free showers, and a pool.

Nice place with pool. Owner Esther was gone, but Swiss boyfriend Viktor is very kind and works long hours to save the turtles. It's pricey: 180 per person per night plus 50 for 15 amp electric. You can think of part of it as a donation for the turtles. Wifi available at 85 p for 24 hours. It's not pet friendly because the dog there is (understandably) protective of her territory. The beach is too steep for walking and the waves are too strong for swimming.

Lovely, peaceful spot right on the lake, good breeze during the day, not too many bugs. Friendly people. No swimming due to crocodiles. 200 per rig without electricity.

Street parking in a residential area that has no “no parking” signs. Really great for stealth camping if you’ve got a smaller vehicle (minivan, suv, etc), and I’ve seen a at least 10 campers/sprinter-type vans parked in the area. Please just be courteous of locals and don’t post up for too long! It’s a great spot to sleep, but there’s tons of other free day parking by the beaches.

Camping NOT for tents, only for campers etc., despite there is a lot of green area, disappointing. Couldn't believe it tbh. Owner was not friendly also.

As described, this flat gravel spot is about 10 minutes down a washboard dirt road off the Transpeninsular Highway. Large enough for a few rigs, maybe a big rig. Several pull-outs on the road along the way for smaller or single rigs. Getting a little LTE.

Pretty basic but clean rooms with a small kitchenette. No 3 prong electrical plugs so bring an adapter. Can't hear the ocean but ez walk. Town noise, roosters and stuff. Lots of long term Canadians here for the winter. They provided a garrifon for drinking water. 1000 pesos including tax / night. Javier said he would drop the daily rate based on length of stay. Best room is 9 but up three stories. Secure parking. +52 322 157 4453 WhatsApp

WiFi was working, at least inside, when we were here. Car park is on the far side of the building from the highway, so quieter than most rest areas.

Called ahead to see if they allowed overnight parking. They said there is a city ordinance that does not allow this and vehicles overnighting in the parking lot will be towed.

Danny didn’t work on our bus but someone else there did replace our hydro boost. Wouldn’t recommend them at all. He left all the bolts and screws loose in our engine and now our engine check light came on after 50km and we have a weird noise on start -up that we have to get another mechanic to look at tomorrow.

Awesome little spot away from town. Soft dirt that is maintained. Good for tenting, car camping, or small camper vans. The owner was really chill and had a great vision for the place! It has two or three spots to stay. At night it’s very quite with the exception of vehicles going by randomly on the nearby road. Creature noises and cowbells in the distance we’re cool! There is fermented goods available too! Two dogs on site who are friendly with people. Composting toilet which is “open concept” with some trees for privacy but it’s cool to do business in nature! Three spots total I believe. We went for a walk which was nice, there’s an amazing sunset view overlooking the valley and ocean. Would stay again as a break from the beach scene.

We drove here to wait for the ferry back to the mainland (saw the other spot during a stroll along the beach). There are plenty spots along this beach, which is good for swimming too. No 4x4 needed for this one. Good cell reception.
