A wonderful stopover for one or a few nights on this Guestfarm: staying on a Kalahari Dune in the wilderness or in a self catering unit on the farm with illuminated waterhole close to the warm-hearted, friendly and helpful owners. Fresh drinking water, also to carry. Gamedrives on demand.

Big parking lot. Stayed here with more then 20 others campers. Police drove by with no problems. Direct on the beach with 2 restaurants. Showers only in summer season. No other facilities. Very quiet at night

Very good restaurant! We had leg of lamb with oven roasted potatoes and it was very very good! Then we had tiramisu of Maqui (local berries) and it was soooooo good!! Very friendly service also and locally owned! Recommended

Called and asked permission to stay overnight in our camper van and was told that it was OK. We were asked to park in the back away from the entrance. Most of the spots at the back are not level, but we were able to find one towards the back on the side that was good for our camper van. There are no RV or bus specific sites here so bigger rigs may have some trouble. We had a quiet and pleasant stay. Would stay again.

We wanted to sleep here, but we got stuck with the rear of our vw combi in the gravel next to the road. We needed help from a truck driver who pulled us back on the road. Be careful!

Nice little pond on the side of the road towards the dock. There is only one spot so if it's empty you won! Cell reception is low on Verizon. Lots of trash in the area but if you park right you don't have to see it. Bugs etcetera etcetera.
The road on the way here is hard packed. 2wd vehicle friendly.

Lovely solitude, shade, hot shower and long drop toilet. Hiking trails around. Shallow dam to take a dip. Entrance to the farm is 2km south of the Cape Nature office. R150 for the night.

Good place to stay for one night. Shelter for the wind behind a wall of trees. We paid 1000 for our small camper and two people. The lady at the reception was not too friendly. Toilets are dirty. But since we don't need anything and there are not much other options, it's okay for us.

It was all good. nobody bothered us. Denny's WiFi worked well. we stood in front of Denny's.

Great place to spend a night. We parked under the big roof by the restaurant. Clean toilets and not a lot of noise. safe and clean toilets by the petrol station

pernoitamos aqui muito bom, a energia elétrica é só avisar na hora do abastecimento que a galera explica, tudo muito top, inclusive o preço do diesel que foi um dos mais baratos dos últimos tempos, apesar de o preço estar caríssimo no geral, banheiro top, chuveiro quente, enfim vale a pena a parada.

Ótimo local, super tranquilo com boa iluminação e a beira do rio.

surprised to find a small shop here, they have drinks, sweets, icecream, queso de cabra and a few other things

yes, nice place next the river! good for a swim (water very clean, just full of silt). i built my tent between the smaller trees right next to the water, less windy, there's space for one tent. looks like someone tried to block the entry from the road, but it's possible to bypass it with cars.

This is a great place to stealth camp. No signs against overnight parking. Security patrols the huge hotel next door. Right off of Seawall, so just a little traffic. IHOP open from 6am-10pm for restrooms.

Stayed overnight. Easy self check in slightly off our course but we’ll worth it. Beautiful view.

No one checking at the entrance. Salar was dry almost everywhere. Some pools and puddles in the southeast but all still drivable.

Just camped away from the road in the middle of nowhere. Peaceful and beautiful. Crazy wind. No problem in our SUV but not sure how a tent would hold up in those conditions. The ground is so hard that it’s impossible to get any pegs in.

Very nice place to stay, only a bit off route 7 / Carretera Austral. We were all alone (expect for two fishers who passed by) and it’s a beautiful place on the river with nice views and easy accessible for our van. Almost flat place at the left, close to the tree. No connection with Movistar. Bit dirty with toilet paper in the bush (never understand why not take all your trash?).

Wild camped on a Kalahari red dune with a stunning view for N$ 300. Fully serviced air-conditioned self-catering units also available with Wi-Fi.

We could not stay at this place with a tent.
The owner seemed embarrassed and told us to go to the camping next to, El Camping

We pulled into this spot in the hotel parking lot and the attendant in the hotel said we could park there for the day. They charge $10 for a car and $20 for an RV. We have a 45ft motorhome and it was a great spot to park. Beach access across the street.

Amazing tour of the distillery and the agave fields with José. Tasting with plenty of shots of outstanding tequila. Safe place to sleep with toilets and cold showers and a swimming pool.

Contact him in advance to check availability and timing, otherwise he will not be there and the gate is locked.

Access to this place from Barisoni, +/-6km to drive on a small track on rocks. Only accessible with off-road cars.
If you continue the track in south direction above the place you will enter a forbidden military area. Best is to go back in direction of Barisoni.
The place is quiet, you will need some rocks to level you car. Place for 2 cars.

Ótimo lugar para lavar roupas, lavagem pequena 800 ARS, secagem pequena 800 ARS, lavagem grande 1100 ARS (preços de janeiro/2023). A lavanderia fica do lado oposto ao apontado no Google Maps.

Great place to wash clothes, small wash 800 ARS, small dry 800 ARS, large wash 1100 ARS (January/2023 prices). The laundry room is on the opposite side as pointed out on Google Maps.

Wasn't so clean when I visited, I had to share my room with a lot of ants.
Tiny room, bad bed, private bathroom but with no running water...it's a budget place, which is fine, but the guy initially wanted 20k and I had to negotiate hard to get him down to 10k (which is still too much IMO).

We found this store and the employee helping us to be very helpful when we needed a suspension bolt for our sprinter van. Ours snapped on the rear upper shock. Anyway, they have the proper grade (10.5) for automotive use, and we found the correct length (150mm). Awesome service.
