This is one of the main attractions, where Lawrence of Arabia should have lived for a certain amount of time. Here's also kind of Pavillon tent, where you can get tea and have a nice chat with other travelers. It's a bit more requented by other tourists with their guides

One of the main attractions inside the Wadi Rum. It's very nice here, but the Canyon is really tine. Take the steps on the right, follow the very short path and see some very old inscriptions. Some of them are located above your heads.
From here you can easily get to the Lawrence's house, the Burrah Canyon and the Mushroom Rock

No matter from which direction you'll come, keep close to the mountain, if you do not dare to drive the dunes. The sandy road is fairly easy to drive (we did it with a Sprinter 4x4), but the sand of the dunes looked way too soft for us.

definitely more of a farm than a campground with chickens and horses walking around, but a nice place to leave your rig and explore the city. we left our dogs in the van here when we went into the forest, only to find out later they are allowed in the park. pretty quiet and clean amenities. they did charge us 20k to fill up our water tank which I thought was a little absurd. we spent 3 days here and not once did anyone speak to us in English.

So much trash, so much cow shit. Spent a relatively peaceful night here amongst the garbage. Stray dog kept us safe by barking at imaginary things for most of the night :-)

Top hill built up for geological monitoring. It’s in off the hwy about 6 km but what a view. Lots of room and road getting here was not bad. C-class and car will make it. Very remote. Cell tower near so go signal.

Small spot just off the road to mesa falls.
Spent one night no issues. Many other dispersed campers around the vicinity. Quiet and chill evening. Creek side spot.

beautifull place as described. look out for a very brutal squirrel, you do not like to have him inside your car! he was on top of the roof and almost fell through the musquito curtain.

The spot is as described above. It’s a free campground, but still has put toilets, water, and a dumpster. It also has access to a boat ramp and a small dock. The lake is beautiful, the only downside is the amount of flies.

Camping at Flower and fern cottage...

Is like being ten years old and travelling to your aunts cottage in the countryside, The cottage and garden are lovingly cared for with passion, neat tidy but still a country cottage,. You ask your aunt if you can camp outside in the field and she makes it happen, she brings you drinks and sandwiches and you explore the amazing wild gardens, walking down to the lake and stand staring at the cliffs wondering if you climb them what will await you at the top. At night you gaze up at the clear view of the milky way and life is just perfect.

In the morning you wake up and must leave but forever longing to return and live forever in a childlike fantasy.

Jackie is the most amazing host, she even walked down to us with some beers after we mentioned we had run out.

The only problem with Flower and fern cottage is having leave .

We went to Kalambo falls and visited the moto moto museum, and easily made it back here for an extra night.

semi-open areas, one larger area on one side ofnthe bridge, one smaller on the other. The smaller has a walk-in trail 30m in that appears to be awesome for tenting.

This is an unserviced but welcome for camping spot. do not leave toilet paper in the bushes, bag it up and take it out!

too many fire rings too close togther so watch out for hazards that come with fire rings.

otherwise, the toad river is gorgeous but super cold and swift moving. not for small children to play. there's sandy entrances to the water for hanging out with your morning coffee.
