We stayed here last night. There were about 10 other vans RV's Van's and cars. it was not over crowded but full. It's a nice quiet spot next to a river. We did hear the train a few times but no big deal. Definitely a good spot.

A place close to old Khot with a stunning view. 4x4 needed to go down the dirt road. You can go further but high clearance is needed and it gets even more steep.
Very quiet - just some locals passed with horses and 2-3 cars.
Follow the small road to visit old Khot.

Nice comfy place with very friendly family who runs it. Price is 7000AMD for a room with huge bfast. Mr Arman gv me complimentary coffee, cake & fruits upon arrival. He also gv me a tour of the B & B where he made wine & kompot. Clean shared bathroom & green surrounding. Opposite the B & B is a river where locals went fishing. Truly recommended.

Awesome! Safe and wifi worked great, yes police drove by few times. We had dinner -delicious cheese crusted pizza - in the very friendly gelato and pizza place in the Southwestern corner of the park/plaza, highly recommended.

Great place to cool down and refresh after Lut. Big trees, water, shade. Parking 100k, entrance 1 million per person.

we contacted Fransisco via Whatsapp and he replied in ok English. The price for a private your for 2 people was ridiculous: 1700R$ for 8 hours. Even though the country knows quite some inflation and fuel prices went up big time compared to previous check-ins below, this is way above the average that is asked by other companies. It seems like Fransisco himself is actually working at another place, and this is the price for a friend of his. Too much for us at least.

Nice national forest campground with some first in first serve sites. Check with the Ranger at the entrance. Without reservation or first in first serve. It is not possible to drive the road and park for hikes at maroon lake between 8am and 5pm. Shuttle bus is operating.

The ATM of the Banco de Costa Rica charges no fees upon withdrawal. You can get dollars and colones. Next to the road, convenient to park in front and access (big rig friendly).
We got the dollars here we need in Panama and for the container shipping, as its cheaper than to withdraw at the ATMs charging fees in Panama.

Accidental and wonderful find. We met Eduardo in town, and he invited us to camp on his property. It’s a place with cabanas, a really good restaurant, and a boat launch. We camped right by the launch, but to the side so people could still pass. We were here Monday and Tuesday nights and it was so peaceful. I’m guessing it’s not as peaceful on the weekend. There is a bathroom to use closer to the restaurant, and a water spigot there (it’s hiding between the restroom and event room). No shower that we know of. At the restaurant, we recommend the pizza (after 2 pm), burger, Buffalo chicken sandwich, and poboy sandwich. Free to camp if you eat at the restaurant. Decent WiFi at restaurant. Lots of flies one of the two days we were there, but no mosquitos. Excellent place for bird watching and listening. We camped in our Jeep Gladiator.

Kinda odd but beautiful. I was uncomfortable because I have no idea what this land is or who owns it. No private property or no trespassing signs. People obviously come up here (,glass,spend shotgun shells, fire rings). Got through the night peacefully. Definitely not for big rigs. However my 21' class B+ is 25' at least with bikes and front hitch and I managed.

this place has the potential to establish itself as a nice overlander meeting point. nice hosts [speaking only turkish], green pasture to park a rig or pitch a tent under trees, directly lake side, swimm in the lake, have a meal at the restaurant. prices low. recommended

Nice flat place. We felt safe. In night only barking of dongs and some sounds from frogs. No bugs.

Beautiful campground 5 stars with pool, services and activities. Near 200 sites. Pets allowed.

Large parking area on a hilltop overlooking Truckee. View from some points. No parking signs. We parked about 100m away from Cottonwood Restaurant. Very peaceful except for the train at 7am (I think the whole of Truckee can hear it). Would recommend 👍

On the way to Andorra la Vella, at 2400m. Nice view from the mountains.

beautiful location 4 bars of 4g T-Mobile. easy to get to for any vehicle. No noise but the wind at night. very pleasant

This seems to be the only office in Jaen that can issue insurance to foreigners. They used to be able to issue insurance right away, but the lady is telling us that now it takes 2 days. Since the pandemic, all policies are completed in the larger cities. We arrived at the office at 8am on Wednesday and we will get our insurance documents on Thursday at 4:00. The price is $279sol for three months (2018 Mercedes sprinter 170 extended). The office is right on the main highway with easy parking... even for bigger rigs.

Spent a quite night here, only a few cars, cows and sheeps passed by. You can stay more or less weherever you want on this road. Lots of space also for big rigs and some grassy areas for tents. Felt very safe, locals waved when passing by. Simple but good and not so high in altitude as the spot in laguna Quilotoa. Recommendable

There is a nice spot up the hill on "Little Desert Road", but the road is very "BLM chiqe". There's a little flat spot to your left just after you go over the cattle grate that would be fine for a night
