Indeed, quite a few picnic areas. Easy to find because of all the picnic tables to be seen. We ended up at 36.2799589,30.3936406. Quite large. Water, toilets, beach shower, shade, beach. Only 2.1 km west from a A101 supermarket.

This is an empty parking lot for a former Target store. The building is still there but is vacant.

Spoke with someone saying they were the new owner and this place is closed and they will post no trespassing signs soon and call the police.

Beautiful , fall colors in October. A lot of sites on the lake. All lake sites were taken on a Wednesday but I am sure it fills up on weekends. About 34 sites, $18 a night, $9 with a pass. Shady, large sites.

Very nice and quiet. access to toilet and bbq area with table but nothing else. don't miss the short hike to the viewpoint El Altar

The boat ramp parking lot was not level enough for our rig, so we headed down the “dead end” curve off to the left and had a wonderful overnight stay just outside the gated area. We were right above the river, and enjoyed a beautiful sunset and a quiet evening. Idaho’s flies, however, are abundant and very persistent! Note: this area will only work for a camper-van, auto, or truck camper...no space for a trailer or a fifth-wheel.

Few rough spots to camp. It’s really nice. Springs were crowded with locals, all super friendly, but this is the type of place that gets shut down if it’s not respected. Enjoy, leave it better than you found it.

A better access route is at Milepost 22 on Hwy 31, turn NE on FS 3125 to FS 017 (which is under a power line). Powerline section was new gravel Oct 2021 to a bit short of the campsite but good dirt on to camp.

Great place! One other vehicle was there for the night. Fire pit available. No light pollution, great view on the sky at night. Please always pick your garbage as some people left things on a rock!

Stayed on the other side of the gas station away from the main rest area. Nobody bothered me except the trucks made noise most of the night. I recommend the main parking area for light sleepers. There are no signs indicating overnight parking is not allowed. Only “no idling” signs.

Very nice spot. There were several vehicles already camped in that area when we arrived, but we managed to get a spot. There are two routes there. Google Maps (and probably others) will route you there via Hwy 313, then a couple miles of washboard dirt road (about the worst washboard I've been on). The washboard was so bad that we had do air down our tires just to keep our sanity. The other route is from the bottom of Long Canyon Road near Jug Arch, which may require 4WD and high clearance depending on the conditions (that road has a tendency to wash out in places, making travel up the road more difficult at times especially in the winter or after recent rainfall).

The In N Out parking lot has huge designated parking space for Buses and RVs. Stayed here with two other RVs and not a single problem. Area felt safe. Treated ourselves to some In N Out while at it.

Driving all day, this spot seems like it will be absolutely wonderful to crash! As everyone said, there are plenty of pullouts for different setups, although the ones before the gate seem to be spoken for on a longer term basis (those spots are MUCH closer to the highway anyways, so they can have them!).

The road getting here, before and after the gate, is great for any type of vehicle (if my Honda Fit can do it, anything can!). I didn’t drive all the way to the lake but this spot is absolutely perfect, plenty of space and far enough away from the highway to where it’s a dull white noise, not in your face at all. No facilities, so Leave No Trace, as always! Bring your own water.

a small track leads to a lovely private clearing with a fire ring. Well secluded from the road. I only stayed here for lunch but nice road in and out. I'm not sure if it's suitable for large rigs

the site itself is fine enough, but is located in the middle of a ranch and the taps all seem to be broken, but convenient with the market/deli and burger joint in walking distance. No tmobile or att signal

Great spot to watch the sun rise & set. Also beside a 5km coastal trail.

Only a few campsites, no water or trash but it’s a label place to park and relatively quiet

Small parking lot adjacent to a walking path/bike trail. Pulled in around 10pm and it was really dark and quiet, I was the only one there with my dog. Folks started arriving at the lot by 7am to use the path. We ended up walking a good 3 miles up the path it was a great morning walk! There are also little trails throughout the woods leading to the water.

We never found this place. May be closed.

Good and safe place to stay indeed. There we no showers in the station though, and the ones at the Corona station were in really bad conditions.

As described, only the showers were cold (which was really a shame given the brand new building and cold weather).

Stayed here for two nights, so quiet and peaceful! Walmart bathroom is also clean.

Señor Rafael is now renewing this place. In spite of the works he let us stay here. Thank you. Don 't forget to bring your socks to las Gachas or las Glorias cause it is very slippery and I broke my arm there.

Nice campsite on grass, awesome views. $10/pppn. Friendly staff. Cold shower. Very windy. When driving here from Arusha/Lake Manyara, be aware of the conservation fee ($35,4/pp in addition to the road usage fees)! So yes, very expensive to drive here but doing it once it is okeish. Road here okeish, too. Pretty rocky from time to time. We were on our way to Serengeti.
