Enjoyed 2 nights boondocking here. Very peaceful & quiet listening to the wind blown trees. Ranger
saw me & followed me to spot but he was very nice.

Rest areas are weird… this one is no exception. 1am donuts in the parking lot…a traffic stop by state patrol at 3am…18 wheelers in and out…. You get the point.
Stay at the risk of the possibility of no/little sleep!

A break from the road going west. This rest area is moderately trafficked. Bathrooms, trash cans, picnic areas, and a good parking spot. I rested easy here overnighting without a problem.

Perfect Boondocking Hide-a-Way. Sites are free of charge. Sites 50 and 51 are joined in a loop drive with mostly level spots. No water or electric, but vault toilets and trash dumpster are available.

A small lake for boating and fishing. There are a couple of trails for hiking. There is no cell service for AT&T or Verizon.

Lots of people here but large enough area that everyone had space. The short road at the west end of the bridge to get here is badly rutted. It would be hard to travel it if wet. 2 bars Verizon.

Nice showers and bathrooms, and really attentive hosts who tend the sites. Lots of road noise and light pollution from the nearby businesses and roads. RV sites are away from the river.

Very basic. Toilet out of use. No actual fireplace. Firewood can be found around. Good for stopover not much more.
At the time we were there the area suffered from wild fires . Was very sad to see almost all the way through Nossob.

One of many dispersed camping areas off the 4WD road to the Mt. Elbert trailhead. This one is at the end of a spur not too far up the road.

There’s enough space for multiple vehicles and tents. Great spot if you’re worried about bugs. Almost every other campsite on this road seems to be under aspens, but this site is under pines.

Road NF-980 is very narrow with pine trees and stumps on either side. Do not take an RV in. Try another route. We did not make it all the way to Sunny Spot this time.

Now called Moto tours. Jose is super nice, not sure if they still have dorm rooms but we stayed at the back of the workshop in a double room with private bath for Q100 per night for 2 people. Nice kitchen a safe place inside to park the bikes, stayed there 2 weeks while in Antigua.
To note, it can be a bit noisy at night from the bar but not horrible.
Jose does moto tours for those who are keen, there is an on-site mito mechanic shop for simple motorcycles (wouldn’t take big modern bikes there but for DRs KLRs XRs would be ok)

pull off from the road next to creek, with three fire pits with the ability for RVs and multiple rigs.

please know leave no trace principles should be applied here although there are plenty of areas down by the creek with lots of trash and people who don't know how to dig a hole for bathroom needs.

Lots of birds and an easy, pretty loop trail around the lake. Also the starting point for longer out and back trails in Kokanee Park.

Good spot, just right off the Trans Canada. Picnic table, garbage, porta potty, fire pit. There's a trail connecting the lookout to the "roundabout" section and it has a whole bunch of toilet paper scattered everywhere.
