There are 22 campsites dispersed around the lake. The signs say you need a permit but I talked to a local and they said it's free, a Ranger will just come around and give you a pass. That never happened to us but didn't have any trouble at all.

This is a fantastic lakeside camping spot with gorgeous views. If you drive the narrow dirt road all the way down to the lake you will find picnic tables, fire rings, and a pit toilet. Once you get down to the lake if you keep right and follow the grassy tire tracks for just a bit further it opens and dead ends into a large clearing big enough for multiple vehicles. If you are by yourself it is very private at the end of the road. You can pull right up to the rocky shore and be right on the water. Good fishing and swimming in the lake. Snakes like to hang on the warm rocks on shore so be aware. You can hear traffic from the highway but dies down at night. No service on Verizon. 10/10 would recommend!

Forgot to mention, the road down to the water is narrow but easily doable in a Truck or van, anything wider will get scratches. In terms of height limit, there are just a few small branches you may brush up against. My truck height is 9.5ft tall and barely touched the "low" branches.

$36 to camp. Have to reserve online at the website above. Kindof a task but not too bad. $36 does not cover $10 park use pass you’ll pay at hale when you roll in. It’s late July and there’s maybe 40% capacity in the campground. If you’re lookin for a chill place to shower, laundry and relax in between wild camping and boondocking adventures this is the spot. Fire rings and picnic tables at each site. No problem getting level at site for van or tent. All facilities very clean. Park ranger patrol. N

Beautiful and quiet wild beach !

We arrived on Sunday afternoon and there were a lot of Costa Ricans enjoying the beach.
A « guard » wanted us to pay to camp on the beach, we refused and parked our car on the left side of the beach, the guard came back and harassed us to pay he was trying to frighten us but a local Guy told us that it is a public beach and there is no need to pay, he talked to him in Spanish, threatened him to call the police and the guard left so DON’T PAY, if you don’t talk Spanish ask locals to help you. (The guard left before the sunset)

After the sunset we were alone on the beach it was very quite and we saw a lot of hermits and crabs.
If you want to swim be aware of the strong waves don’t go to far.
4x4 needed, it rained a lot the days ago so the road was bumpy and full of big water holes.

As described, small gravel not far up the dirt road under powerlines. Has a portaloo. Not super flat but did in a pinch. Apparently there are some nicer spots further up the road.

Great free spot. Road noise not bad, and there was a potable toilet. Easy access to the water, plus fire pit and picnic table. Cop drove through in the morning and waved.

We ended up here in the evening with other places we preferred fully booked. Tips, don’t go here on the weekend and consider not to come at all only if last possible option. Lot of people roaming around till very late at night as the camp ground is accessible to anyone as it is not closed. Toilets very dirty and unfriendly welcome in only Turkish. It worth it unless you need too.

Hands down the best camp site I have stumbled across by a long shot. Someone has invested a great deal of effort moving large rocks around making what looks to be a little Town. Hence the name Rock Town. There is two fire rings several parking spots and what looks to be a sacrificial alter (joking).
The third day I was the two gentleman showed up. One was clearly the land owner. He was hoping to meet who made all of this. Really nice guy. Asked how long I would be there and told me to take care. I stayed for 6 nights. No Issues At All!
Also, it is not for from the sunrise recreation trail. At least one quad a day will drive by and explore.
Granted it will have challenges as there is no level spot for a vehicle. I used rocks to drive onto like ramps and got level enough. However, if tent camping there is literally a perfect groomed level spot. Not much shade either. I parked at the entrance halfway into the wild blueberries and got decent shade. I was here during a heat wave. This place is so unique it is worth the extra effort.
Sorry for dark pictures. They don't do this place justice. Forgot to take day pics.
Please don't make me regret telling people about this spot as it is private property with public access.

Nice big parking lot for trailhead. About 10 others slept in the lot as well. Interagency Pass works here, too. Clean pit toilets! Awesome hike!

There’s a sign that says no hunting or trespassing without permission of Fischer Ranch. There’s no contact info for Fischer Ranch. Although it’s a great spot, I would recommend avoiding unless you can get in contact with Fischer Ranch.

Behind Lewisport intermediate school, in summer the school is closed abviously
There is a grand gravel space facing the water.
Access is possible both side of the school.
Great view. Very quiet.
No signs.
Saw few kids on the shore walking by.
Subway, Tim Hortons, restaurant in Mall.
Behind the United church on the , there is the Woolfrey’s Pond Trail and Campground“. The owners let us use the dump site in front of the blue garage. No fee.
