stayed here for a night and had the place to ourself! no signage prohibiting overnight parking. it was pretty quiet, and there's a spot where you can be covered by trees so you can't be seen from the road. garbage cans are available.

lots of campers and trucks here! a little noisy, but you get what you pay for.

Walmart - Ottawa 45.41451, -75.65025

Small campground, hot showers for quarters, full hookups, tent sites, ADA accessible, pay online only even when arrive, some traffic noise from minor road alongside the place, quirky aviary in the park, good shady trees, flushing toilets, a bit pricey, $44 full and $25 no hook up

Steckel Park 34.40730, -119.08268

Make this more than just a place to sleep. Explore the hiking trails that start from this location. One trail goes down to the beach along a shady canyon that has a clear, flowing stream running through it. Another trail goes down to the town of Stinson Beach, and another one makes a loop up the mountain, around the other side, down to town then back here.

Strong and fast Verizon signal - 92.2 Mbps down/36.9 Mbps up. I would stay here again.

unfriendly, got offended when we asked if we could see him changing the wheel bearing.

afterwards, he was on purpose taking forever for everything.

Very nice spot to spend the night. Went there with a 21 ft. trailer + car and we were lucky that the Marina parking in the back was open because it would've been hard to fit both the car and the trailer (unless we un hooked the trailer). Maybe it's always open? Can't tell. But if you have a camper van or RV then the spot is perfect. If you do spend the night there, do the hike. It's definitely worth it.

We were the nighttime picture.

Can confirm the initial description. Great overnight stop, very quiet and protected from the wind E . I arrived late and initially missed the track to the side of the road. Its just before the low water bridge. The last section is not that steep just need some clearance. Woke up to beautiful views of the fish river with sand grouse and fish Eagle calls. There are some mosquitos and a large troop of baboons that sleep on the cliffs but they didn't bother me and its nice to watch them swim in the river in the morning. Definitely recommend this spot. Nice big flat area and conveniently located off the b1.

This place is now called Twin Rivers. Camping is R80 pppn. Riverside setting although water levels may be low in summer. Clean solar showers, no electricity, but water taps everywhere, lots of space, some shade under tall pine trees, mainly grassed sites. Friendly owners.

Gull Lake Campground 50.09755, -108.47688

Decent spot to park, no signs on the street restricting hours. The municipal code makes car camping illegal but there are a ton of camping vans all over this neighborhood so I don't think it's enforced.

Perfect spot for the night. 10 other vans and rvs camped overnight. Beautiful views. Felt 100% safe. 3 bars LTE with AT&T.

Great place. Quiet and peaceful, even over the labor day weekend. Zero Verizon, but good att and TMobile. Pit toilets. No other amenities. No fires allowed. Beautiful area, lots of antelope and geese and pelicans. Flies are annoying but not bad.

Antelope Reservoir 42.90896, -117.23702

there's no camping allowed at game lands but I don't think that applies to parking overnight in the parking lots. the road this site is on has multiple parking lots to the gates. this one is fairly large. it is not very private. many cars drive by and there are gunshots in the daytime hours from the shooting range down the road. you might find better areas if you continue exploring down the road, I do not know. I've slept in PA game lands parking lots in my car multiple times with no problems from police, wardens, or anyone else. always hiking and biking opportunities, although the foot paths are usually not mowed well and overgrown a bit.

game lands parking lot 41.16783, -78.77058

Turned off on this road after being stuck on the main road for 45 mins due to a 3 car collision. Easily drivable dirt road with a nice big pull off. We parked the van and set up a tent next to it and still had plenty of room. It was dead silent the entire night. We got there around 1:30am and headed out around 8am.

Toujours valide.
