We spent 2 nights at Mayabell campground - 250 pesos/night without electricity. Full hookup available for 300 pesos.
Spot mostly leveled, very clean and quiet. Some shades from the trees around. Close to the swimming pool, which is perfect for a dip in the afternoon.
Restrooms and showers very clean, with hot water
Nice restaurant on the ground, we tried the “licuado con miel y yougurt de piña” (smoothie) and it was good
The mayan ruins are a bit more than 1,5km from the camping. The trip to the ruins is up-hill, and there is no real path so you have to walk on the road- no very difficult but beware with kids. All in all, very practical for the visit
Will definitely stay there again
