For us, this place has everything we could ask for: really strong hot showers, clean bathrooms, secure parking (guard stays overnight). Pretty good WiFi at the bar, which has tons of electrical outlets to charge laptops, etc. The food at bar is pretty good and reasonable, especially daily special for 35 Q. Expats (boat owners) come here for happy hour. There is an expat community based in Rio Dulce, they were having a "swap meet" on the Sunday we were there at the restaurant, selling some things that could be useful to overlanders too! (They post more of the area's events on We heard music on Saturday night, but it wasn't that loud. Overall, great value: 50/nite without elec, 75 with elec, 25 to leave your car for the night (we did this when we took boat to Livingston)
