Hotel Lerma

single room for 160 MX (one person), private bathroom, great parking.

hostel del refugio

single rooms starting from 260 MX, doubles 310 MX, private bathroom. one of the cheapest options i found in town, about 1.5 km from historical centre (plenty of collectivos running down there for as little as 6 MX).

if empty it's parking should fit three cars and some motorcycles, very secure parking. has a terrace, kitchen and is quiet at night.

surtimoto

motorcycle mechanic, good selection of tires (pirelli, michelin, metzeler, shinko and mitas). also has wunderlich accessories if need be ... used it to get new tires

Hostel Villa Colonial

good basic place, one of the cheapest in town. checked out two other places, one was 500 MX for a private, the other one 200 MX for a dorm. this one is 100 MX for dorm and paid 200 MX for a private room (shared bathroom). has a beautiful roof-top terrace, parked motorcycle on the street (no problem). right in the center of town.

Los Alamos

nice family run hotel / hostel with reasonable priced accomodation. paid 200 MX for a basic private room with my own bathroom (warm water). has wifi, parked motorcycle right on the street (really not a problem). highly recommended if you stay in real.

Hotel Viky

good place to spend the night, secure parking (for motorcycles, car would also fit easily), wifi, hot water.

paid 450 for a triple with a view over the city, very close to the center and to the cheap and awesome taco places (5 tacos for 10 pesos).

Macc Racing

workshop for motorbikes, specializes in racing but changed oil there and got spares. really nice owner, US prices (good), gave me tipps for places to go

Hostal Santo Domingo

i've not stayed there (sadly) but i've walked into it. probably cheapest option right in the center of puebla - 140 MX for a dorm, 420 MX for a private double, 570 MX for a triple. looks really good, has a small place for breakfast right nearby.

the hostel can easily fit bikes into the large patio, there's even a small ramp so i don't think that's a problem.

Hostal Leonora

boutique hostel right in the center. paid 200 MX for a dorm (low season). hands down the most fancy hostel i've staid in the whole trip. clean big dorms with HUGE lockers. they have private rooms but they are 1000 MX up. 18th century feeling.

they have a fancy restaurant downstairs serving breakfast for around 70 MX, not even 20 m from this place is a comedor which serves typical food (a whole menu) for 50 MX.

they let me park my bike inside (1200GSA), otherwise there's a 24h parking right in front of the hostel.

Oaxaca Magic

laid back, family run hostel. have dorms plus a private. dorms were at 100 MX, private room for single use was 250 MX (might be 400 ish for two) - more than enough space, has a couch and a big bed (though it's not fully double).

shared bathrooms were clean, hot water. only nuisance of shared room is that the abuelito's bathroom is right next door, so you might hear a few moans ;) but it's really not bad. good vibes.

restricted parking - there was a car inside while i was there, could still fit my HUGE 1200 GSA without a problem. smaller bikes can even ride straight into the courtyard.

Rossco Hostel

can't beat a night's stay for free - paid 150 MX for a 4-bed dorm. comfortable beds, big lockers and parking.

Maya Bell Campground

very good campground, paid 100 MX (only pitched my hammock, is same price). includes palapas (small huts where you can camp in). the food at the restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced for what you get.

Pickled Parrot

really good vibes at that bar, very friendly owner - gladly helped us find a place to stay, even walked us around. food is good, plenty of beer for a fair price, cool stories and full of characters !

Utopia Eco Hotel

nice hotel/hostel, very sociable cause no wifi (only at a hut nearby). semuc about 40 min walking distance. very rough road, can be too slippery for bikes if it rains (can't recommend riding up/down there in case of rain). paid 30q for a very comfortable hammock. food is good but relatively pricey and portions are not very big - bring snacks

Hotel Calle Ancha

really nice place, perfect parking for bikes. 15 USD for a single with private bathroom. good wifi

La Recoleccion

really nice shop - needed some oil and was the only place around which sold 10W40 and thus saved me from a tedious trip to the big city

Hostel Iguana Azul

nice and quiet, very friendly owner. just a 20 min walk fromp copan ruinas

Simple Beach Lodge

small, really nice house right at the beach opened by a fellow motorcycle traveller. offers simple but beautiful rooms, place has a nice breeze, some space for parking.

notice: really small place. not for camping or big rigs.
matt was still busy building the place up when i was there.

stone mountain outdoors

very nice shop has caming gear, dry bags, hammocks, fishing gear. fair prices

A1 Motorcycles

big workshop, lots of accessories for anybody in need. good advice, got a new rear tire, very helpful; they did not try to sell me expensive stuff but gave me good advice for alternatives.

very nice stuff, also gave excellent recommendations for my route, reserved me a lot of time also just for conversation.

was able to store my bike safely for a reasonable price there for three weeks.

German Bakery

nice place _but_ very expensive. an erdinger costs some 4500 CRC, we paid over 70 USD for four meals plus one drink each.

Stahlratte

had a great time, staff was amazing. the place you sleep in is basically a really big room below deck, with doubles and big bunks. curtains at each one if you need to change / privacy. boat was in good conditions, bikes were secured and handled carefully, no damage whatsoever.

Mamallena Hostel

dorm with aircon for 13 USD, we parked 5 bikes in their backyard, no campsite.

Torres del Lago

stayed there twice already, apartment 801A (managed by http://www.inmobiliariacastellar.com). either contact them or walk into the reception (there's hordes of people outside trying to fish you for an apartment).

aircon in each room, big kitchen (incl. oven and microwave), big washing machine we had running 24/7. also has a proper sink for handwashing. 5 min walk to the beach, taxis to the old town for reasonable prices (ask _before_ getting in and ask in the reception for an approx. price to your destination)

casa miraflores

a little more expensive than a normal hostel (paid 25.000 COP for a bed in a two-bed "dorm") but definitely worth it. great place, very clean, big warm showers, great wifi even in rooms, large amazing community areas. good breakfast, free filtered coffee all day long

could also wash and hang my stuff right inside the hostel, laundry service would be available (and nobody gave me the look when i washed it on my own).

two clean kitchens available for your own cooking

place was vigilated 24/7, had my bike in their very small parking space. it was even o.k. to park the bike at the street outside of the hostel at time of writing.

highly recommended
