Pecan Grove RV Park

James Rooney Memorial Park

Huge nice park. We came here on our way to Austin after Carlsbad Caverns National Park. Nothing to do in Walmart parking lot @ 6pm and too far to keep driving.
Great place to run the dogs, tire the kids on the playground or plug in if you need to. LTE reception. No overnight camping. Open until 10pm.

Aguirre spring campground

Beautiful campsite in Organ Mountains. 15 min NE of Las Cruces, 45 min from White Sands. Clean pit toilets. $7 overnight - exact cash or check

parking lot behind Walmart

As described. We saw two municipal cops. Verified it was OK to camp in the parking lot. They said it was allowed 23hours and completely safe. Walking distance - 5 minutes to Walmart and the Mall.

Camping Luna

We tried to camp here with our two dogs - no go. We got the stink eye as we drove in from the owner. Pigs, horses, cats and a big blood hound. Which our dogs would have been OK with. The Owner did not want us to stay. Perhaps not a a dog friendly place...

Grocery Store- La Colonia

Great supermarket! Next to La Unión (walmart)

Pan de Vida Brick Oven Bakery

Delicious smoothies, fresh bread (dulces and artesanal), calzones, pizza and sandwiches. Fresh made!

Mind The Gap Nica

10$/night + 12$/night for Electricity!?!
If you have dogs BEWARE! The owners have dogs and they have been known to bite. Our dog was bitten here, unprovoked on the 3rd day we were here. They attempted to keep their dogs leashed or away, but they got out and cornered one of our dogs unexpectedly. Apologies were exchanged, but later we found out one of the two dogs is known to be aggressive towards dogs and people. No worries if you do not have dogs, but just be mindful. Our dog had to be seen by the vet for an abscess and infection.
We enjoyed this spot for the nice sunsets and tide pools. BUT the water and "flushing" toilets did not work most of the time we were here = bucket flush.
Also, upon leaving they wanted to charge us $12/night to plug in our tiny fans to help us combat the heat at night. We were able to get them down to $10, but still.. a little steep for the small amount of electricity we used.
Worth it for the sunsets and tide pools, but I wouldn't recommend if you need to plug in or have dogs and you want to enjoy the hammocks and common areas in the shade.

Sleeping Dog Hostel

This place is in wrong location - it is located at 12.44104, -86.87804

Stopped to use the ATM (cajero) after crossing the border. Plenty of fruit and vegetable stands surrounding the market as well

Intranet Systems

Copies before the border, if needed. Left side of the street, going towards the border.

Clarissa Falls Resort

Not enough good things to say about this camp place! Chena is the sweetest host. The camp spot was ideal with two dogs, so long as you can keep them from chasing chickens and other dogs. We managed to keep our dogs off leash almost the entire time! No other guests at the resort. Running tab and pay at the end. We used the paddle board on the river, 20 steps from the camp spot. Super clean bathrooms with showers, flushing toilets, tp, and soap! MInimal BUGS! Meals were very good and reasonably priced. Chena was very welcoming and made us feel like we were at home. Planned to stay 1 night, stayed 3! Highly recommended!!

Guava Limb Cafe

Good place to sit down for a nice meal. Affiliated with Cha Creek Resort. Very friendly wait staff, drinks and food. Thumbs up for the cucumber/gin fizz!

Worth the trip! Beautiful ruins. No crowds. Nice to be able walk and explore the ruins.
We tried to take our dogs and they said no dogs. After we did the ruins, I'm quite certain if we would have just walked through with our dogs, there would not have been a problem. No signs or rules posted no dogs.

The great mayan prince

Great stop. Excellent food. They let us sit on the patio with our two dogs.

1,000 Foot Falls

As described - long dirt road. Beautiful falls. No one here when we arrived. Flush toilet, non potable water. Free. Great place for the dogs to run around. We passed a check in point at entrance to the park. The gentleman took our name, plate number and asked where we were going and when we were returning. No pass or fee required.

Great space to camp. Monica was so welcoming and friendly. She made us smoothies when we arrived and she had dog treats and gummie bears when we left.
Separate gated space from lodges with a shower, electricity (110v and 240v) and fast wifi! Very quiet at night. Safe gated closure as well. Enjoyed our stay. No toilet available. We used our own. 30bz$

No problems with the ferry. There was a truck, another car and a motorcycle plus us on the ferry. Clearance was good for all vehicles on the ferry.

Sisters Diner

Excellent food. Chicken burger with salad and hamburger for the hubs. Worth a stop if in town.

Farmers Trading Center

Agree with previous posts. Hardware, produce, fabric, meat, pharmacy items galore. Best selection of all kinds of great stuff. Def worth a stop if you need something!

Marie Sharp Hot Sauce Factory

Lovely place! Highly recommend. Bruce, Sharon and their staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. We stayed with our 2 dogs for 5 nights and have not felt more welcomed or "at home" since leaving the states. Immaculate property! Wonderful stay and we had a hard time leaving.

Fusion Beach Bar
