|Villa Patzcuaro Hotel and RV Park||
Nice campsite. Lots of spots for vans. We were the only ones here. Good wifi. Hot showers. 20 mins walk to Centro. 280P per night.
|Catarata Llanos de Cortez Parking Lot||
Nice camping spot for camper vans. The road to get here is a bit rough. 5 minute hike to the waterfalls. Free, but must give small donation to the owner. Bathroom. Now shower. No wifi and no cel signal.
|Parking lot at the Centro Cultural y Deportivo||
Quiet parking lot by the lake, right beside the sports Center and a police station. Policemen were very friendly. Restrooms and showers right by the municipal swimming pool, but not running water when we were there, so very dirty and smelly. No charge. Plane landing at the airport nearby in the morning. Very quiet and felt safe.
Wonderful place right by the lake, with long pier and a couple of palapas, hammocks, tables and chairs. Great swimming. We stayed two nights at 50Q per night. Wifi at the restaurant, very clean restrooms, cold shower. Water tap in front of restaurant to fill our tanks. Very safe and people very friendly.
There’s a small garage setup behind the Dicap autoparts. It’s not very visible. Ask for Lolo, the mechanic. In less than an hour, he had our engine and brake problems fixed. No parts were required. We were very satisfied and highly recommend this place.
|La Jungla, Catemaco||
Nice secluded area right by the lake. Paid 160 pesos for two with a camper van. Shower was not working but Rémi, the very friendly owner, let us use the showers in one of the empty cabanas. Large pools with water slides, but not functional when we were there. The road to get there is quite narrow and bumpy, with hanging branches. Can be quite muddy after rainfall. No wifi but cel signal worked, although weak.
|Rincon de Luna||
Very nice campsite, surrounded by orange fields, with lots of clear and shaded areas. Bathroom & showers, wifi and cel signal good. The owner, Javier, was very friendly. 2km from Media Luna. We were very pleased with this place and highly recommend it.
Very nice secluded site in the middle of the mountains in La Huasteca. Very warm welcome from Diego. Bathroom, no shower. The place is currently being revamped so Diego is flexible on the price.
