April 1st, 2022 | Marbella Beach Dunes | Road from highway is now closed, and this spot is inaccessible from the other direction. Looks to be new development going on |

March 31st, 2022 | Beach Camp | When we arrived at the parking lot at the base of the tower, there was a sign saying camping and overnight parking down the trail was prohibited, as were vehicles >2m l/w. I can't really imagine that this is enforced, but there were half a dozen vans in the tower parking lot, so we just stayed there. Cool views of the rock lit up at night, and the tower is easily climbable right to the top, even with the bottom most staples lazily removed. V0. |

February 23rd, 2020 | Pemex | Surprisingly quiet. I think I was the only vehicle drying there, but I asked the staff and they had no problems. |

November 21st, 2019 | oaxaca sports park | Parked up in front of the gates here, the police stay in a small hut next to the gate. Asked them if we could sleep there and they said no problem! It felt very safe, not too loud or anything. Lots of families and people going to the park to exercise. The bathrooms in the park are free however the park seems to close fairly early, around 7. The parking is on a decent slant as well but was still ok. |

November 19th, 2019 | Pemex (Mitla entrance) | Stayed here last night. Friendly lady in the office directed me to the security guard who showed me a nice shady place to park. Bathrooms but they cost 5p |
November 13th, 2019 | Camping at the very end of the Malecon | Tried to stay here but the police moved us along. They did say we could park on the Malecon to sleep however. |
November 12th, 2019 | Policia Estatal | Was staying at the Malecon when the police from down the road came by and told me I can move my car to in front of their station both to shelter from the wind and so they could keep us safe if we wanted, plus be able to use their bathrooms during the night! The officers were very friendly and said that while the Malecon is a perfectly fine place to park and sleep their station is better. |
November 11th, 2019 | Alvarado malecon | Parked up here until the police came to check on me. They said it was fine to park and sleep at the Malecon but they offered a space in front of their station for me to use instead which I gladly took! |

November 9th, 2019 | parking lot behind Walmart | Other than some dogs barking, a peaceful, quiet place to park. The police patrolled by several times throughout the night but didn't stop to chat. Felt very safe. |
November 9th, 2019 | parking lot behind Walmart | Stayed here for a night. Tiny bit noisy but quieted down as it got late. No one seemed to mind and definitely felt safe. Really easy access to Walmart which is open till 11 |

October 27th, 2019 | Military Checkpoint on Northbound carrigeway | Army checking vehicles traveling north, although I don't know for what as we were waved through. No such checkpoint going South |

October 24th, 2019 | Texas Travel Information Center Laredo | Stayed here last night, but loud with the trucks but nice bathrooms and water available. Stayed at night so the info center was manned. Some parking locations are fairly dark. Saw border patrol taking dogs to sniff around the edges |
October 12th, 2019 | Land of the Arches Campground | Staying here for the RRGCC Rocktoberfest! Good campground with plenty of space for cars and tents |
October 12th, 2019 | Rest stop | Pleasant rest area with picnic benches and a BBQ stand as well as the usual toilets, vending machines and potable water. Clean, not too bright, and quiet considering how many vehicles were there overnight. For a convenient highway stop, you can certainly do worse. |
October 11th, 2019 | Service Plaza | Loud and floodlit so strongly it came through the window blinds, but probably v. safe for it. Not a spot I'd particularly look to seek out, but a valid and convenient one all the less. We nestled our Outback between two tractor trailers in the big rig parking (straight on past the filling station), and were joined for a few hours by another couple in an Audi estate. Usual service Plaza amenities. |
