November 9th, 2021 | rest stop | Water spigots labeled unsafe to drink- do not use for water fill |
|
November 8th, 2021 | Methodist trails BLM site | Pulled up at dark to this place and it was difficult to navigate because there's so many different roads. From what it looked like, there were people camped long-term in the first spot. People near us were yelling and fighting for hours and we decided to leave at 11PM because my partner and I were sketched out. Out of 4 months of vanlife, I've never left a spot before because I didn't feel safe so that is saying something. I guess it mostly depends on who is staying there with you. |

October 19th, 2021 | Henry Horton State Park | State park campground that has hot showers for $5/person unlimited time. They also have primitive campsites for $12 that include a picnic table and fire ring (with showers included). Great for vans/tent campers |

October 16th, 2021 | Newfound Gap Parking Area | Stayed here for a night. Beautiful view for sunrise in the morning. Intermittent cell service 1-2 bars LTE on ATT but not much would load. Restrooms a short walk from the parking lot..relatively nice, no sinks just hand sanitizer |
|
October 15th, 2021 | Harper Creek | As described, about 3 different sites with fire pits (from what I could tell). Intermittent 1 bar LTE on AT&T. All sites were full by 9PM on a Friday. Sites were relatively flat- but not big rig friendly. |

August 3rd, 2021 | Lake Crescent Water/ Dump Station | RV water fill for drinking water(not a spicket, has a vertical hose that can be used with an attachment and your own hose) and dump station (fee $10) at the crescent lake boat launch |

July 28th, 2021 | 1854 black river school | Drove by this place to check it out if we wanted to park here, tons of trash littering this place (microwaves/old shopping carts/etc.) Did not stay for the condition it was in. |
|
July 27th, 2021 | Longmire Stewardship Campground | I tried to stay here during July and asked other campers if it was free to camp- they said that it was a campground for volunteers of the park (although there weren't any signs). A park ranger later confirmed this. I would not recommend staying here. Not sure if it is available to the public during the off-season, but I would not plan to stay here. |

July 6th, 2021 | Spring Green Boat Launch | Free place to stay- no one bothered us, one other RV stayed the night in the parking lot with us. We only have a fan in our van so we have to keep the windows cracked (with window covers up) to create a cross breeze and the bugs were pretty bad inside the van. Other than that, nice place to stay |

July 6th, 2021 | Stickney Town Park | Previous review was in point- we were the only ones there for our overnight stay! It had hot showers by the pool (open even when the pool is not), picnic tables, electricity, water. It was perfect for passing through! It's about 8-10 minutes off the highway |
