August 17th, 2019 North Lassen 32N12D

Although this road is marked on this map w/ 32N12Y as a forest road number; I have indeed camped back in here recently - right near the PCT trail on a road called 32N12D. Two track dirt road, accessible w/ passenger car sport-wagon. Large RV would get scratched by overgrown limbs. One large pull out for a small camper trailer, plus more hidden camp sites tucked back into this forested road. Saw a few trucks driving around, so people do know about this camping area for hiking and fishing. Perfect for en route camping, while traveling through Lassen National Park or National Forest. Way east of Shingletown, CA and west of the north gate NPS entrance.

September 27th, 2017 Indian Creek

This was a last minute decision to turn left off the Hwy 49 south of Downieville, California. Far enough back from the paved road I only heard the creek and no traffic. No one drove past and I camped in the second clearing, flat spot w/ AWD sport-wagon. Overgrown route makes this not such a good spot for RV campers; maybe a van could do it. There is a developed NFS Campground nearby called Indian Valley (to the north) but this is a freebie spot for those last minute finds without the fees.

July 22nd, 2005 Baker Creek

High Elevation 10,000 feet - Eastern Sierra Bliss at Upper Baker Creek in summer months. This hard to reach creek camping spot is lush and shady, and takes a full day to reach it (all on dirt roads) Via Coyote Flat OHV area, just west of Bishop, California. High clearance and 4WD needed to navigate the dirt roads around here and a hard copy Inyo National Forest Map
