West Air

They will fill propane bottles here. Just off Hwy 95

McCoy Mobile Home/RV Park

This is a small RV Park near Winterhaven that is in a rural, quiet area. Mostly mobile homes and snowbirds camped here for the winter, but has some spots for travelers. Full hookups, laundry, shower, good internet, and a swimming pool & spa. This is a great place to catch up on chores before/after traveling in Mexico. Friendly people. We paid $22/ night for 2 nights.

Campo San Felipe RV Park

Very close to central San Felipe and the malecón. Secure location with fenced access to beach. Palapas close to beach cost more. There is a swimming pool, and they are building a new bath house. Current one has flush toilets and hot showers, but are in somewhat disrepair. Good Wifi. The owner/manager--Israel--speaks excellent English and was very helpful and friendly. The campground is pricey--we paid 700 pesos for full hookup next to beach--but walking distance to everything, wifi, and good security were our priorities.

El Litro RV Park Todos Santos

This was a good place to stay. Clean restrooms with a wonderful HOT shower. Walking distance to town. Dogs bark, but hey, that's pretty common down here.

Cabo Surf Safari

Great location!! It's a squeeze to get in with a truck camper. Shopping and restaurants to walk to. We paid $25 US per night.

El Chorro

Also known as Agua Caliente hot springs campground (in Church's Camping Baja book). We paid 100 pesos for two to camp. Outhouse was pretty run down and there were a lot of flies. But the hot springs were wonderful. Several little pools dug into the sand above the dam of varying temperatures. A larger pool sectioned off with rocks where the hot water came out was wonderfully hot to soak in.

CALIGAS Station near the Airport....fills Bottles

Propane at km 51 on Hwy 1. Take dirt road on right going south.

Rancho Verde RV Haven

Very nice campground with hot showers, non-potable water and sewer dumps at each site. No electric. WiFi near office (slow). We paid 160 pesos for the 2 of us.

Agua Azul

Water purification store. Has a long hose that can reach tank on camper. Easy access.

Propane on dirt road just off Mex 1. Going south of Ciudad Constitucion, turn left on dirt road at edge of town near electric plant.

Palapa 206 RV Park and Motel

Good stop. Friendly, English owner. Very helpful. Hot shower, WiFi ok but doesn't reach to sites. Dry camped 190 pesos.

Beach Camping Puerto Agua verde

The road in is narrow, steep, and winding but has been repaired in places and we had no problems with a 4WD truck camper. Someone who has camped here for years pulls a small 5th wheel behind a pickup, but I wouldn't recommend it. Beautiful place, good kayaking, you can buy fresh fish on the beach. A small restaurant has opened on the beach and cooks delicious fish tacos! The town is friendly, even the dogs, and has a couple of tiendas. Cave paintings nearby. We stayed 10 days!

Ottawa State Fishing Lake

If all you need is a cheap, safe overnight spot to camp, this place is great. Off the beaten path north of I70, it has picnic tables, fire pits, pit toilets and a pavilion. Free.

Mooney Dam, Douglas County Park

$10 self registration fee, located 12 miles off highway 53 east of Gordon WI. Picnic table, fire ring, pit toilet. We were the only one there. Quiet spot.

Los Olivos Campground, San Quintín

Nice, level sites with hookups. Bathrooms were clean with hot showers. Good tent sites too. We paid 250 pesos for an RV site. There is an excellent restaurant--Jardines Baja-- just down the road that we walked to. There was a big dog there that seemed friendly, but they put him inside a fenced area when we told them we had a dog.

Huerta Don Chano RV Park

We paid 150 pesos/day for a nice level gravel spot with electric, non potable water, a sewer dump, picnic table, shade trees, and an outdoor sink (although the drain emptied onto the ground). There is one bathroom for everyone to share, so it's best to time your shower accordingly. The shower has hot water and good water pressure. The owner, Manuel, speaks English and is very helpful. We even had laundry pickup and delivery. Friendly expat community here. We stayed 3 days.

Cielito Lindo Motel and RV Park

Excellent place to stay. We paid 150 pesos. The restaurant was wonderful! Great margaritas and crab!

Finca Cañas Castilla

Paid $10 for 2 people, which was refunded after their Great Dane attacked our dog and I broke my wrist during the attack. If you have a dog, make sure they tie theirs up when yours is outside, even while next to your camper.

Finca Cañas Castilla

Warning: if you have a dog, check with the owners that they will keep their two dogs secured when yours is out. They have a Great Dane and a German Sheperd. The Great Dane attacked our dog, even though we didn't take her near their house--we had her on a leash by our camper getting ready to go for a walk. I broke my wrist getting their dog off her.
