Need an alternative to the unsafe rip off Freetown beaches? This is it, run by Ghazali and Lorraine out by Freetown airport NOT TO BE MISTAKEN WITH AIRPORT LODGE HOTEL (That place was awful)
This place is great for us overlanders, safe secure parking, within very easy reach of the ferry that takes you to Freetown for those of you that need to go and do your Nigeria visa etc
I wish i had found this place before i went to the beaches, Ghazali and Lorraine are super helpful and can help with just about anything.
In the Lodge the rooms are clean, tidy and come with a fan and A/C, my partner wanted to take the bed with us.
They also have a bar and pooltable and Lorraine makes a great dinner, breakfast is included in the lodge and is brought to your room if you like.
I cant speak highly enough of this place, dont be put off with it been across the water, its easier to get into town than been on the other side and cheaper too, there are beaches close by with great views and of course its close to the airport.

Absolutely no option to camp here, we turned up and the owner turned us away flat, its now under new ownership and he doesnt want campers only hotel guests @70000 cfa per room.

Turkish truck workshop, good guys can fix anything and source parts, no english but there are often truck drivers from Turkey that can maybe speak a little german or english.

Great little hostel with restaurant, parking for big rigs, they can help with mechanics, can fill with water here too.
