Description

MODERATOR NOTE: Place removed because camping is illegal here. Signs posted and enforced

The road on the left was not suitable without a 4x4 (lot of big holes and very muddy) on the right there is a big yellow sign saying ‘danger high voltage - camping overnight prohibited’ but we clearly saw traces of vans and RV here. We didn’t stay here. And mosquitos like hell.

CLOSED!!
Not sure if it’s due to covid or they just decided to close it permanently, but there is a giant no camping or overnight parking sign at this location.

Very nice spot, as described. Please don’t leave your garbage. When it’s windy it flies everywhere and will end up all over the ground and maybe even the water. Pic included of what it looked like when I arrived.

Report Check-In

As described! Quiet, rocky, and a few camper van neighbours.

Omg loved this place! Got to park right by the water. Was easy to find but hidden from the rest of the world. Water was nice to swim in. Loved it!

nice place to park. and swim
not far to the town

Great spot! Lots of space to find the perfect spot. Pot holes aren’t too bad, just go slow.

Report Check-In

Lots of open room for big campers and also some more private areas for tent camping. Campfire areas are set up, you can get firewood from the gas bar in Little Current for $10 a bundle.

Been coming here for years. Great spot, so many places to park/camp. Here for another 10 days. I’m 10 feet from the big water. Watch deer swim across to Beauty Island, and Bald Eagles fly. Just windy cause it’s so open.

This place is so beautiful!! It is directly on the water and easy to get to. The path wasn’t bad to avoid pot holes. This is such an awesome place to stay!

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot! Very rough gravel pot holed road in. Came in a 30’ a class. Got half way in, then turned around due to other campers being there already. About half way in there is room to turn around. We even stopped and had lunch before leaving. Crown land atlas shows the entire coast line of goat island as crown land. A smaller vehicle with high clearance would be best. However we did get in and out, lol.

Report Check-In

Informal campsites located behind an electric power substation, off Hwy 6, at the lakeshore. Take the dirt road entrance in front of the substation. Stay to the left to go to the main camping area where there is room for several campers. The road is only about 500m and potholed so could be a problem if you have low clearance. We went to the right and stayed in a large site with another RV beside the large yellow sign. Far enough from the road to be a quiet stay. We stayed in a 32’ motorhomeand would stay here again.
