We paid 75pp for the tour of about 45 minutes, one of the best experiences we had in our 6 weeks in Ghana. Guide explains the history of why the local community decided to protect the monkeys, unlike elsewhere in Ghana. We walked along the paths through the Forrest, saw the mona and B/W Colobus & the guide explained some plants and trees and also a tree planting project for visitors to have trees named after them for a donation. We didn't do this but it was a nice idea. The place was quiet but has a lot of potential for tourism.
The road to reach the community is dirt but no problem, 2wd Sprinter.
Report Check-In75 ghs for adults and 30 for kids. You go into the forest it lasts about 30 min. Good attraction for children
Report Check-InPrice is now 75GHS pp.
We didn’t went as the guide didn’t seemed very legit, telling us we can feed the monkeys to have them on our shoulders to take pictures (when it was written not to feed and touch the monkeys at the entrance…).
Seems to be a good place to see colobus monkey though.
