Got a visa today. I contacted Mr Kalou at Whatsapp, he said to come to his office and 2 hours later I was in the embassy and got a visa without any formalities (Polish passport). I did payment before online at official website https://www.snedai-visardv.ci/ (58€) since i was thinking i need to go back to Conacry to get a visa, and they do it that way. But he accepted it as well without problems. Nice and easy process. Mr Kalou managed to get me visa even today, on Saturday! So contact him and ask if you need visa. Seems that sometimes he can issue them and sometimes not.

“No visas are to be issued starting Jan 1 as instructed by my superiors,” per the Ivory Coast consulate, Mr. Kalou.

Easy and fast, went without appointment, straight from the street behind white wall (there are no signs), had a nice chat, paid 70$, nothing paper to fill or any photos, 3 months single entry.

We talked to Mr Kalou on WhatsApp asking when it’s best to come. He proposed 10am. We came early and also Mr Kalou was there at 9:55. Nice guy, speaks perfect English, had a little chat about Ivorian cuisine. $70 for 3 months multiple entry. Done in 10 minutes. Easiest visa in West Africa.

Turned up today unannounced - happened to arrive at the same time as the boss.
He took me straight in and I had the visa within 5 minutes.
70USD
3 months from today's date, I think multi entry.
It's the lower blue and white building, not the walled building right on the corner.
The stall outside can point you in the right direction.
Could also pay in SLE, but the ATMs in Sierra Leone are irritating, so I did it in USD.

- Accomodated us on the day we contacted him
- took 20 min to finish 2 passports from Germany
- he didnt need any information like pictures or a form, he just wrote numbers on a visa sticker and put it in our passport.
- based on my job as a basic project manager he said I should pay 200 Dollar. I said thats too much and I pay 70 per passport. Based on his reaction of simply agreeing, I could have paid even less.

The office was closed and we knocked 10 minutes until the guy opened it. He says that he just can give us a visa if we travel by plane. And he recommended to try the visa at Liberia, because the informations can change in a few days.

Super friendly guy. Wants to travel himself. Also told me he wasn't allowed to hand out documents anymore. After begging for a while he finally booted up his computer and printed me a Lp for 500.000. So if you have the option maybe better do in Conakry.

not issuing visas as of December 1st. told to go to Monrovia. the ambassador showed me a message from his boss confirming it's true. very friendly but unable to help.

Since 30/11/22, the consulate cannot issue visa anymore.

Consulate is in a non-descript building locals will point it out as there is no sign. Mr Kalou is a very jovial man, happy to talk and is amazed that overlanders want to explore his country. Visa process took minutes, passé a bit longer. He was so nice gave us contacts to call in Ivory Coast if we were in difficulty. Best experience with visas in Africa. He ask if anyone coming to the office to call the number +232 78 242408 on what’s app so he can be in attendance at the office. We left him some souvenirs from Ireland and America as thanks.

Mr. Kalou (the ambassador) was super nice and we got visas and paper for the car in half an hour without asking for express handling and there was no extra charge. 70 dollars per person, 300,000 Leones for the car. He offered to put his number in iOverlander, so here it is: +232 78242408 :)

Very friendly guy. I did my Ivory Coast visa for 70$ with Spanish passport at the same moment. Also you can pay in leones. I had to bring 2 passport photo and fill the form. Very easy

Me. Kalou is one of the most friendly diplomat I ever met during my 10 years journey.

we asked for our ivory coast visum, they just wanted 2 passportphotos and we had to fill in a form.
1-3 months 70$, 3-6 months 120$ or until 1 year (forgot the price of this one).
really friendly guy, he made the visum on the spot, it only took 30min.
he also helped us with our route to the border.

It's on 1 Wesley St. Cost of visa - 3 months valid, multiple entries - $70. 2 working days but we did it onsite, on Friday at 1:15pm. Leones accepted @8900le to a dollar. 2 photos needed and a filled form.
