Beautiful setup right next to the Kavango River with grass stands.

Went to check this out but price has gone up to N$250 pp. View of the river was amazing though.

Camped at campsite no 5. Spectacular view of the Okavango river with sounds of hippo at night. The sound of the popa falls which is a few hundred meters above the camp is very soothing.
The campsites are all within meters of the river, large sites but your neighbor campers are closer than at other campsites.
The cabins are set further back and do not have as good views as the campsites.
We booked for 2 days and stayed for 4. A great base for a visit to the nearby Bwabwata national park. The buffalo core area (eastern side of the okavango) is an amazing park with game densities very high. Best park in namibia imo.

We got the camping site for ND 190 pp/pn.
As informed here already, the owner is nice and helpful. Also amazing view to the river where you can see and hear the hypos.
You have your own power station and brai facilities.
It doesn’t accept any card, so make sure to being cash. Also the wifi is almost zero so do count on it. Also check if you are confortable with insects (spider, bugs etc) since there is a lot everywhere because of the river.
We went first to Chametu and seems much better facilities (nd 210) but they didn’t have any space.

We stayed one night, and paid 190 pppn for our tented pickup. Deon, the owner, was extremely nice and helpful and told us about the national park down the road. The hippos still hang out on the river and the bar and pool were a great bonus. Make sure to put on some DEET for the toilets though 😁

A really good experience. Beautiful setting, sites overlooking the Kavango. communal ablutions with individual braai structures. Grassy sites, electrical points, hot water and access to the lodge facilities. Gideon, the host, was very attentive. Boat ride to Popa Falls and down the river was good. Sound of the falls heard during the night and resident hippos known to browse on the grass at night. Well maintained camping sites. NAD145pppn (probably Covid price?) All campsites seem to be very quiet. We were the only campers over the three nights. Highly recommended.

Campsite on the river and bungalows at the back

Awesome place and the owner takes you to see the falls and hippos. Fantastic camp!

As described, no Wi-Fi at the bar or campsites but good MTC communication. get only cash or transfer. Gate hours of Mahango core this season are 06:00-19:00, beautiful park.

This place is about the owner. Deon what a host. Clean green grass spots, electricity, all was good.

Price has gone up to 150 NAD pp. Pitches have electricity, some have water but not sure it's potable. Friendly owner, staff, and dog but ablutions were full of bugs and mosquitos, we didn't use them. Would not stay here again for that price.

ND$150 pppn. We stayed two nights and loved it. We got a spot in the overlander section which is right on the river with massive site and surrounded by trees. This is the section where tour companies stay; so I would recommend asking if the overlander section is busy or not. But it looked a lot better than the main camping section.

Our friends stayed at Poppa Falls Resort and said that rainbow lodge was nicer especially because it’s also right on the river.

Bar where beer/cider costs ND$30. Beautiful deck overlooking the river with awesome views of the sunset. If lucky you will see Hippos and Crocodiles. Free wifi. Free coffee!! Very friendly and helpful owners; we needed some advice on our travel route and we not only got good tips but also a lot of their time. Good facilities with hot water.

They also offer boat tours which cost ND$290 per person for two hours and you can choose a time that suits you best.

Would definitely recommend :)

prices have gone up to a whopping 140N $ per person for camping and 30 N $ for a beer. Watch out. There's better places at lower prices!
