Really nice campsite. View on the okavango (but we didn't see hippos). Access to the restaurant with a nice free cake and coffee break every afternoon. They propose yoga pratice every morning on the terrace with view on the river, it was a very pleasant moment. Also they propose nice massage, also done on the terrace. The owners and the team are really friendly also the 2 dogs. In the high season they are quikly fully booked.

Our 3rd time here. First time when the gas geysir shower worked as it should (and wasn’t just burning hot or ice cold), points for that. But unfortunately we felt that the level of service has decreased during the years (as the cakes’ levels, last time they were better). However, the campsites are still great with very nice views. We were on the site 2 for the first time and we liked it a lot. Nowadays N$220/pppn.

Nice campsite, I think everything has been said. Very friendly and helpful team - found a local mechanic as we had a problem with our vehicle. As mentioned, the little extras (free coffee all day, cake in the afternoon…) make this place stand out.
We struggled with the shower - one of those gas geysers that kicks in and gives you scolding hot water (literally, my husband has the scold marks on his hand!), then when you try to adjust it cuts out and runs ice cold.
N$220 pppn, credit card accepted.

Wow! what a treat this place is......it really felt like we had a little holiday. Lovely bar and restaurant area with free hot drinks all day and cake at 3pm. Bar meals during the day and a set menu at night which sounded delicious but we cooked for ourselves because the campsite is also lovely, private bathroom and a kitchen area with table and benches and view over river, grassy area. There is also a very nice swimming pool with sun loungers. We did a morning tiger fishing trip which was great fun and then had a full body massage in the beautiful spa in the afternoon......OK so its not really hardcore overlanding but was really really lovely to have these treats!! Great team and so friendly!

very quiet place with only 4 campsites. fully booked almost of the time so better to call. we wanted to stay 3 nights but only 1 nigh available. big and clean pool with towels, juices to welcome us, cakes and coffee for free at 4 pm, soap in the toilets... plenty of small details as a swiss spa ;-)
water tap, hot showers with gas, brai, table and chairs, beautiful riverview, bin at every pitch.
free and fast wifi at the deck in the restaurant and bar. books available, massage, boat cruises...
we loved it : 5/5 !
180 per people per night with private ablutions.

Beautifull private campsites x 4 with river view. Private kitchen and bathroom. Electricity and borehole water. Restaurant and bar with deck overlooking the river. Highly recommended.

Report Check-In

Perfect place, no doubt. But with big rig you might have big trouble. 7 m might be ok, but make reservation for site 1 in advance.

Report Check-In

As descripted it‘s beautiful Lodge and good Restaurant. Free Coffee and homemade Cake at 15:00h. Wifi deadly slow! Be aware of the ants. You find them everywhere in any size and they come into your rig.

this is the second time I've been here and after a year of traveling throughout Africa this is without doubt my favorite campground I have come across. there are only four campsites so it is best to either call ahead or come early and hope to get a place. as mentioned earlier each face has an unobstructed view of the river and its own abolition block. The lodge / campground is run by a Swiss couple and it shows. I highly recommend the three-course meal which is always exceptional. The Wi-Fi is fast the deck is beautiful they also offer spa massages and if you want a 2-hour sunset cruise on the river.

Report Check-In

Nice place with everything as listed before. The only point I might note is they offer free slow wifi and paid faster wifi, however, during our stay the wifi did not work at all and from the camp you could get H/H+ from MTC .

Fabulous fabulous fabulous. The rest as stated here. We stayed two nights and did not want to leave. Excellent set menu at night also.

Our 2nd time here (1st was in late 2019). Fabulous, private campsites with views to the Okavango River! Only 4 sites, all with private ablutions, kitchen, table, fire pit etc. Electricity on all sites. Peaceful place and the lodge is very nice with a small swimming pool, afternoon tea/coffee/cake etc. On low season just N$160/pppn, which is a real bargain for this kind of place. :) On high season (Jul-Oct) N$190/pppn. Stay 2 nights and enjoy this amazing place. Friendly staff. Two friendly dogs around, too. We stayed at site nr. 3 this time, which was very nice. Potable borehole water at the tabs on the campsite.

Fantastic camp. All one needs - pvt ablusion, potable water, hot shower, water toilet, kitchen area, shaded trees, electricity, restaurant, frendly professional staff. @ ND160 pppn its worth every sent.

We heard that this was special when it opened sometime around 2012. It's taken us 10 years to visit and we can see why it has such a high reputation. Only 4 campsites so availability in the high season is likely to be an issue if the rental car tourists reappear post COVID.
It's really good that the water on the campsites is from a borehole for filling tanks as most places in the area only supply river water.

Stunning spot along the Kavango river and as others have said, a perfect spot to enjoy some 'affordable luxury' with great camping spots, and access to the lodge's terrace, bar/restaurant and pool. We enjoyed the three course menu too! Very kind and helpful owners, who even offered to help if we had any trouble in nearby Khaudum NP!

We stayed at campsite no 4 (4 luxury campsites are provided) with two big rigs, nice trees and lawn and seating place (bench and table) overlooking and access to the river. Each site with own bathroom with shower, basin and toilet and a private fireplace and an area to prepare meals.
They provide firewood and laundry service.
We can recommend this place!

Affordable luxury! Spacious campsites, distanced from one another with great private ablutions. Large shower with very good water pressure and plug point by the sink and mirror.
Sites are in the shade with perfect trees for hanging your hammock.
The restaurant makes the 3 course meals fresh and with vegetables they grow. They are flexible and give a vegetarian/fish option on request. Romantic setting on the deck with tablecloth and candlelight. You can smell them baking the fresh deserts in the afternoon whilst relaxing by the pool on their fancy loungers. Pool water is crystal clear. Free use of the espresso machine any time of day with a selection of freshly baked cakes/muffins.
An array of activities can be booked, morning yoga 250pp, 45 minute massage 390pp, sundowner boat trip to see Crocs and hippos for 400pp drinks and snacks included, bicycles also for rent. Camping was only 120pppn. Been on the road 6 months and this is one of the best campsites we've been to, especially great value for money.
Pascal and Lukas incredibly friendly hosts and the staff are attentive and professional. Also, cute dogs!

It is a wonderful place to camp! You have your private bathroom and fireplace.
The dinner in the lodge is so delicious. And we joined the yoga class on the SPA deck. If you want to have a bit of a luxury feeling, this is the perfect place. 120 N$ per person.

Very nice campsites, really private and the private facilities are so good! We enjoyed it a lot (with an Unimog it was no problem to enter)

Very good place to stay longer. You have the same view over the Okavango River like from the room. Very friendly owner and stuff. 150 pppn, River cruise 300 pp, dinner, which is really good, 295 pp, all in N$, also a nice little pool

In our case the campsite was also fully booked, so we decided to stay in one of the rooms. It was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed a lovely dinner on the deck overlooking the river. We really recommend staying here!

Report Check-In

Yes it is a nice lodge, 'classy' feel to it, only 4 campsites, each with patch of grass, own ablutions and view down and over the river. Sites are quite close to each other. For us we thought the MOBOLA campsite next door (5kms) is considerably better, much nicer campsite, better views of river and 50% cheaper.

Report Check-In

This is an amazing place to stay. We thought the price for camping was a.bit on the high side (150N$) until we saw the place. A beautiful view over the river, private bathroom with hot water etc... Dinner was delicious at 250N$. We even got a free breakfast. Memorable place...

Book ahead! Or don't. We arrived at sunset to find the campsites were fully booked. Couldn't go anywhere else, so had to take one of the gorgeous - and I mean gorgeous - rooms. The type of place that in a national park would cost thousands of USD. They gave us a discount bc we were stuck, N$850 pppn including breakfast and dinner.
