Liberia
Nice campground incl. waterfalls 45 min by road from Gbanga. Road in not so good conditions. It's possible to swim.

Nice place. They let us camp in our with view to the cascades. Staff is friendly and service oriented compared to most places in Liberia/along the West Coast so far.
We paid 30$/night (2persons in camping car), 10$ (5$pp) for a guided walk to the second cascade (recommended), 20$pp for dinner (fish and rice, very delicious). Additional 10%GST to sum.
Price for a hut is $75 for two persons.
Restaurant ia available
Nice location
We have paid $40 for private transportfrom Gbanga.
There is a new campment/lodge there directly in front of the waterfall. To see the fall you have to pass trough the established campground. The owner charges 5 $ pp to visit the waterfall. The site looks actually really nice, but we decidet not to stay for overnight, since they charge 15 $ pp per night for sleeping in your own car. They have kind of small huts too for 75 $. Not sure if the price is set per person or per hut.
Report Check-InThere are actually 2 waterfalls, the second (10 more minutes down the road) is even better than the first one in my opinion.
They are currently developing the area into a private tourist attraction, building benches and clearing trails and a fence around the perimeter. When I got there they were still working at it. The worker who came to greet me asked for 10 USD, which I negotiated down to 1000 LD (~5 USD). When I was leaving I met an official tour guide who asked me how much I had payed and confirmed that the official price is 1200 LD. He also told me about the second waterfall.
So, it seems it won't be free to see any more, but at least it won't feel like extortion money and we're helping the local economy (in theory)
Really nice drive and waterfalls looked very impressive (we only saw them from a distance). Unfortunately as we arrived we were approached by 3 guys with machetes, one guy in particular was pretty menacing, he waved his machete around a lot and demanded to see our ID and to know what was in our panniers as he was ‘security.’ After 15 minutes our friends arrived in a car and he was trying their door handles etc. They wanted us to pay $20 pp to see the waterfall, we refused. In the end the price went down to $5 but after all that we didn’t much feel like giving them money and so left. Real shame as otherwise this would be a beautiful spot!
