Description

Nice camping next to the beach. Area for tents. We asked to camp on the grass next to the laguna because overlanders cannot enter to the grass area. We were allowed to camp in the green, quiet area of the laguna.

Endroit calme et sympa au milieu d une reserve d oiseau et a 300 m de la plage. Toilettes et douches ok. Pas de wifi mais reseau tel. 15 soles/pers.

Report Check-In

Fine place. Paid 15 soles pp. Could park near the Laguna.

Report Check-In

we stayed for one night in our bus. there were two night guards for security. payed 15 Sol pppn. kids pay the same. there were no other guests and the restaurant was closed but we could use the cold shower and toilets.
they did not let us fill up our watertank because it would be to much. max would be 40l! Our bus is 7m long and 3m high and we could park right after the gate. higher rigs won't pass the gate!

Report Check-In

Camping agréable avec un peu de verdure et une Laguna. Toilettes ok. Douches plutôt froides. Eau potable pour charger le camion. 30 soles pour 2+le camion.

Report Check-In

Slept here for 1 night. Its a beautiful big place. We had cold water but I think because the gas bottle was empty. Nice clean toilets and we paid 30 sol. We felt safe and had a quiet night. Nice bbq zone with room to do dishes as well.

Report Check-In

Alojamos una noche frente al restaurante del camping para conectarnos algunas horas a electricidad. Baños muy limpios con ducha.
30 soles x 2 personas y motorhome.

Report Check-In

The campsite is nice and the parking spot for overlanders directly looking on the laguna is cool. We were alone there for one night, except for the guy who runs the place, so it was very quiet. There was no security guard and the campsite is quite easy to break in but we felt safe anyway.

Bathrooms are very basic and shower was cold.

Report Check-In

Great place for a night. Average bathrooms, level parking, no wifi. Relaxing with the birds and the sound of the waves. Several dogs onsite, may not be super welcoming to other dogs .. but, we don't have dogs and cannot say for sure.

Report Check-In

Camping was safe and turned out to be one of the best places to set a tent and sleep!
We felt secure, spent a night and also good running water on the shower, but cold!

Report Check-In

Still 15S ppn, felt safe.
Beach pretty dirty. Biggest lagoon in Americas interesting except for the foam. Toilets + showers clean + ok.

Report Check-In

We came here, it was 30 soles for a dog and 15soles each. Basic parking for total 60 soles. We drove out of the camp entrance and turned left towards the beach and drove along towards municipal park area. We paid 3 soles, had a meal at the restaurant there. Cold shower for 1.5 soles. Felt safe and secure, and spent the 60 soles on the meal. There is also a Laguna there we you can have a swim.

Report Check-In

15s pp
Ground tents have to go 10 metres from car park.
Shaded seating and bbq areas.
Toilets and showers fine.
Restaurant opens Jan feb then sat sun only for rest of year.
Stayed here various times always feels safe.

Owner said the one robbery that did occur and is mentioned on this app was due to a worker who was helping the robbers.
They got rid of him and no problems since.

Report Check-In

Really nice location but we didn’t want to pay double for our dog so we asked for a shower and parked in front of the gate. 5soles pp, much better deal since this road is pretty quiet and secluded

Report Check-In

They charged 30 soles for my dog and 15 for me. There is no fresh water to fill up your tank, no dumping station. Mosquitoes at night really bad.

Report Check-In

We stopped there on our way to Lima. There was anybody else, so really quiet. There is a BBQ area. Bathroom are clean. And we saw a lot of birds. The beach in front of the camping was really dirty, full of plastics etc...
Price : 15 soles ppl

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

we stayed in one of the bungalows, fine but nothing special. The actual location is lovely though. Right next to a nature reserve with birdlife all around and in the campground/ bungalows. Food on offer is ok, a bit overpriced though to be fair to have a cook on duty costs money and we were the only guest. There is a little beach restaurant a few hundred meters away which is cheaper and run by a nice bloke calle Michel. I would certainly stay here again, but camp next time, as being in an airless bungalow does not seem right in such nice surroundings. Camping is I think 15 soles per person with toilets and showers and wifi available. Electricity is between 7pm and 10pm in the rooms but they let me charge my things in the day time in one of their lounges.

Report Check-In

don’t sleep here. armed robbery also in the „secure“ campsite! unfortunately last night we (two individual overlanders) got robbed by 3 armed guys. recommend to avoid sleeping in this area.

Report Check-In

15s pppn. very hot shower. friendly owner. nice location to sleep. secure and quite you will only hear the waves!!

Report Check-In

This is a very good campground.
Clean, quite, no ac/dc at camp but fantastic nature all around. I am just alone here now - the restaurant not open.

Report Check-In

As everyone said.

BUT:
Millions of mosquitoes, night active.
We left chairs outside at night. They try to hide somewhere during the day. So when we folded the chairs hundreds of them came out. Also killed a lot in the car although we have mosquito nets.

Might be because of the season.

Report Check-In

Quiet on weekdays. No one else here. Nice birding in the lagoon and adjacent reed fields. 15/pp per night.

Report Check-In

Good stop between Lima and Cordillera Blanca. Toilets not so clean and cold shower, but nice environment.

Report Check-In

We stayed here one night on our way to Lima. Quiet and safe. Hot showers only work when the electricity is on, but we were fine with a cool one. Bathrooms are clean and they do have BBQ's and a place to do dishes.

Report Check-In

ok place loads of birds. 15 soles pppn. now has dishwashing spot and grills. could not find hot showers only cold. none of the sockets had power on them. loads of flies.

Report Check-In

This place is a basic camp in the middle of nowhere really. There are cabanas for rent in the main complex and nice sitting areas and BBqs in the main complex. But campers don't stay in the middle of the main area, we are put in a dirt parking lot in front of the lagoon area. We actually ended up liking it, as we were away from people to bother us. There is no water or power in this area. This wasn't an issue for us. The nature trail is very nice and you can walk for a while and it's awesome. But just know this is a basic camp, not a lot of services. But as nice place to stop before Lima.

Report Check-In

nos pareció muy mala la atención. hubo un malentendido con el precio y casi nos terminan echando a la ruta en plena noche. ademas es caro y la playa muy sucia. no lo recomendamos.

Report Check-In

Well maintained recreation complex with cottages and campground next to laguna with lots of birds. Swimming pool, no wifi, no electricity, no facilities for dish washing or laundry. The best ablutions and hot showers are at the backside of the restaurant building. PEN 30 (2 persons, camper).

Report Check-In

Great location for heron and cormorant watching. Can get incredibly close to the birds. Can hire boats for 15 soles. Site 15 soles per person. Amazingly beautiful and peaceful. Restaurant open & very good. Also does breakfast. OK more than you would pay in town but they do have to get it here and there's not a high turnover. Tiny shop + table tennis & cycle hire too.

Report Check-In

nice Camping and good place on a laguna. It is perfect for relaxing after the special traffic in Lima.

Report Check-In

Good, quiet stay...even on Saturday night. We were alone at the lagune. Ok....no hot shower....but who cares ??? Clean toiletbuilding, friendly chefe, nice Birdwatching.....in every case worth the 30 soles they charge for two people.....super overnightplace coming from huarez heading to lima !
you remember Canada and Usa ????? you paid much more for just pit Toilets.....did you forget this ????
and ....yes they charge 20 soles for bringing a dog....

Report Check-In

Peaceful & convenient stop, not far off the main road. Friendly guy smiled & confirmed enthusiastically that showers have hot water, but not the case. Make sure you park down by the lovely laguna rather than in the car park. S15pppn

Report Check-In

Not a good place for pet-owners, they wanted to charge an "20 Soles-extra-fee" for our dog - although dog-poo (from their 3 dogs) was lying around all over the place?! We left...

Report Check-In

No shade so on a hot day it can get hard till sun goes down though make do with Nice breeze from ocean. no kitchen for overlanders and restaurant was closed when we were there. We camped on Saturday and it was generally quiet few locals nothing too loud.

Report Check-In

Nice place as described below. Only change, there is no kitchen to us for Overlanders.

Report Check-In

Very nice campground which is also an hotel in an ecological park. We get to see lots of birds, Rolando the ecologist guy is passionstes and will tell you apl he knows about the place and its projects. It feels like a garden of eden in the middle of the desert. Only 15 soles pp and you get access to swim in the laguna, or small pool. Not so hot water but refreshing showers! Came in mid march, was empty... Very vast and feels secure. You can tent small boats, binoculars, etc... Restaurant that seems pricey, havent tried the food so cant tell! All in all, a very nice place to stay if you plan to visit Caral or before going to Huaras (if headed north). For one day or for many days, cheap and relaxing....

Report Check-In

Parked by laguna. Many, many birds! 30 soles for two people.

Report Check-In

Lovely camping by the lagoon. Showers not very hot but otherwise fine. Lots of birds.

Report Check-In

We were very wary about camping here given the recent attack on the cliffs but we were reassured when we saw the security and met the friendly people here. Do not go to the cliffs. For merely 15 per person, there is a fenced secure area. The lagoon for campers was very peaceful, the showers were hot and the birds loved being photographed.

Report Check-In

Muy buen lugar, para quedarse un par de días. 100 % recomendable, 15 soles por persona, admiten mascota.

Report Check-In

Beautiful campsite with birds in plenty. Clean toilets and hot showers. Restaurant not open when we were there. Silvio the gatekeeper very helpful as was the owner when he visited. Camped near Laguna for 35 soles x2 a night. No wifi.

Report Check-In

We loved this place at the laguna, watched lot of birds, walked along the beach. Stopped here for 2 nights. during the week very quiet, nice staff.

Report Check-In

Nice place full of birds and by the lagoon. Very good showers. Quiet to spend the night hearing the waves crashing at the shore. No WiFi.
