Description

Established campground, free during off season

Nice place, power available, right at the bank of the river.

Bathrooms are functional but not very clean (they are in green building as you come in on the right). Cold showers available at far end by football pitch and scattered throughout the site.

Bathrooms are available also in off season.

Sign at the entrance says no pets, however there are multiple dogs living onsite, two of them are veeeery attached to humans and wont leave you alone!

Report Check-In

still the same price at this campground the showers are solar

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

I believe this is the camping area as you cross the bridge on your left it was 230 for one person and tent hot showers after 6.30 no WiFi not a bad camp ground

Report Check-In

super quiet. some people during the day but onky few campers at night. even close to Christmas. electricity and water ok.

Report Check-In

Not free anymore. Prices announced at entrance, applicable from September 1st 2022. Camper: 200 UYU per night + 90 UYU per persoon per night + 50 UYU for electricity per night. We arrived on Wednesday, they came to collect the money on Saturday morning for the whole period, they knew when we arrived. We suppose they otherwise will stop the vehicles when they leave, to collect the payment. Quiet place, few people come camping during the weekend. Very weak Claro reach.

We arrived on a Friday night and there was no one, we spent the night without problems. On Saturday the camping staff appeared to collect but they charged us from Saturday, 90 pesos per person and 200 pesos for the Motorhome.
Very good hot showers, sinks to wash clothes and nice beach.

Good place for camping quiet and security

Report Check-In

... very nice and calm place as described, the further you go south on the place the more quiet it is, bit there is no infrastructure. we didn’t pay anything!

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

lugar maravilhoso com ótima estrutura e tudo gratuito

annoying dogs still here, free offseasons, very beautiful sunset.

Sign at the gate says no entry for dogs but there are four apparently living roaming the site. The dogs were friendly and didn't bark in the night, only at traffic coming and going. Two particularly boisterous dogs, followed me around and slept near me and laid over my tent. I was the only one there.

I came here for one night and ended up staying a week because it was so tranquil and nice. The river rose high, up the first step of the monument but did not flood the camp while other sites to the north were under water.

The guy at the house near the entrance said there was no fee, it was free to stay.

Free electricity at sites and hot water in the showers. The Showers are dirty and run down but they work and someone seems to clean the toilet bowls if not the floor. Take flip flops if you want to keep your feet clean.

Good view across the river with nice sunsets. If it wasn't for the two pesky dogs following me around I'd still be there.

At the junction to the site on Ruta 21 about 4km from the site, there is a store that sells a good range of items except for charcoal but pine needles and cones collected around the site burn pretty well if you can't find wood.

If you want WiFi, L'askina restaurant down near the waterfront at Nueva Palmira is a good place with a nice owner.

Best free place I've stayed.

People here say the showers are on the left but it's actually the green building on the far right of the car park as you enter. There is a building in the woods to the left but it was locked up and had outdoor squat-type toilets that were dried up and blocked.

Best free place I've stayed... I could live there as it looks like a couple of others do

Report Check-In

Wow, what a nice place and all for free, but the showers and toilets are very old and dirty.

Report Check-In

A really beautiful place with all you need as descibed, no one came to collect money in offseason

Report Check-In

Camping tranquilo.

Quiet camping. 100 pesos per person. I guess because of going out of season, they did not charge me for stay. The water is very hot but the bathroom was not clean.

Report Check-In

Confirm everything that was written earlier. Very nice place. Electricity is free of charge in off-season. We were practically alone. Highly recommended.

Report Check-In

Again, we were the only ones here other than the workers that must be redoing the entrance/car park area. Quite a bit of noise from 8am-6pm but the only other noise is that of the birds. Super quiet at night, toilets open but showers not. Electricity, lights and water all working at most sites. River has a lovely beach but water itself isn’t overly appealing to swim in. Nice place! No charge. Would stay again.

Report Check-In

We were only camper here. No charge. Toilets in green building to left (as you enter). Showers were locked with opening hours 8-10am, 8.30-11.30 pm though we doubt they were opened. We had water and electricity so hot shower in motorhome didn't bother asking anyone to open. There are some workers around who may be able to help. Plenty of parrots, eagles and a very friendly puppy. Good place for a night or two.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for two nights. It was still off-season, so nearly nobody was here. Very calm at night. There are spots for electricity and water. The bathrooms are not in very good shape. We didn‘t have to pay anything. Would go there again.

Report Check-In

we stay here of season and we were alone. really amazing place. there is running water, and electricity for free. many barbecue and a really nice beach in front of the river. we stay here two nights.

Report Check-In

Off season we were by owersevfs. There was a care taker. We asked him to start the hot water for us and he happily did so. Electricity and water all over the camp. The shower and toilets are in the northern end of the camp

Report Check-In

Gate open and no one tried to charge us on entry. Very crowded with no space in the shade. Dirty and run down bathrooms.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Parque Municipal e Camping Los 33.

Report Check-In

we stayed here 20m close to the river. The ground is nice and clean, but the sanitary areal is like many other minicipal campgrounds. Dont expect to much. We had power and wather and no costs at all. We loved this place.

Report Check-In

Great place we would have stayed longer if we had the time. Electric and clean toilets, didn't try the shower. Still free. Popular with overlanders.

Report Check-In

Actually, camping is charged from November to February. The other months its free. The first building is the bathrooms and showers, you can turn on the hot water by switching on the fuse on the side of the building. If outside lights are on, then the hot water is working.

Report Check-In

Great campground, still free. Be very careful when driving outside of the road in the campground you might end trapped in the sand just like we did.
No internet signals around.

Report Check-In

Still a nice place, quiet, we stood at the end of the camping area close to the river. We didn't check the bathrooms. Nobody came along to ask for money, it is free if you visit the place out of the main season. Power and water available on sites.

Report Check-In

quite place at the moment with a few locals camping here. lady shower is open with a key, one lady gave me. nice really hot shower. bathrooms look a bit old, but don't worry. electricity and drinking water available for free. beach at the moment flooded.

Report Check-In

yes that tell, i didnt pay for the access! maybe during the summer? Electricity access, water, barbecue place, front of the river with a very nice view, and yes there is a bathroom. A restaurant too with a good meat!!

Report Check-In

drove straight here from B.A. this place is fantastic we planed to stay here for just the night but ended up staying 3 nights. when we got here on a weekday there were three other camp sites occupied and when we left on the weekend it had risen to only five. this pace is very big so we felt like we had it to ourselves. we spoke with a lady in a little house (just on the right as you drive in) who works here and confirmed that it is free. services would be fine even for a paid campground, hot showers toilets that get cleaned each day, and electricity. bathroom block is on the left as you drive in. fantastic place.

Report Check-In

Very crouded by locals. Toilets: you better bring your own. Showers: alright. Free even last night. Nice place

Report Check-In

Yes is a formal campground but local fisherman told me that is free on low season. Bathrooms with hot showers and electricity is all year available. And only at summer and some special weekends a grocery store is open too.

Report Check-In

Wasser / Strom.

Report Check-In

- looks like an established campground, but nobody came to collect and gate was wide open, might be paid only in the summer season
- nice place, power available, right at the bank of the river, we did not try the bathrooms (actually we didn't see any)
