Latest Check-Ins

Note: we tried to cross the land border of Cameroon towards Gabon. The frontier gendarmerie and police told us that Gabon is closed for tourists.

Don’t apply for now…

Report Check-In

We payed 70.000cfa for the visa, as it is needed with the new president.

Pick-up is the same day, or sometimes even in a few hours.

I didn’t have the sticker + entry stamp from Cameroon, therefor they gave me a little bit of hard time. But after some talking with the ambassador I finally got the visa.

with the new president a few weeks ago, G20 countries need to get a visa again. staff were all very friendly

Report Check-In

I went to this Embassy with my French passport and the woman says that since 02/20/2023 all G20 countries do not need a visa to go to Gabon

Report Check-In

Absolutely fine embassy.
ldk what went wrong with person below but I had very pleasant experience.

I showed up Monday morning with copies of everything. Fake booking.com passport visa entire yellow book some travel insurance green card whatever.
(There is copy shop not to far at 3.8981981, 11.5236939 they can also print from email)

Register yourself when entering compound.
Be polite to the lady and she takes documents and gives you form to fill in. Use Google translate to help fill in form if you don't speak French like me.
Knock before coming back inside. Hand it over.
Give 70.000 and she takes pics fingerprint and visa is done in a hour. Absolutely no worries.

Report Check-In

As confirmed with the Gabon immigration office visa cost should be 45000 CFA

Report Check-In

the worst embassy experience so far. arrogant lady told us to get evisa if we life to go to Gabon (valid only for the airport). then demanded 120000CFA for the visa to be valid not from the same day.. after some discussion she stopped responding at all. Her boss didn't even want to talk. we met a Gabonese guy there who said that this embassy is the worst, and suggested to get the visa on arrival in Bitam. he was sure that it is possible.

Report Check-In

Had all the required papers ready and were also decently dressed. Got the Visa within one hour 😊

Report Check-In

It is very important to wear long trousers!
You will need a copie of yellow fever & polio vaccination, passport front page, Cameroon visa (each on one A4 page) and also one passport pictures, a hotel reservation and one form.
The visa costs 70'000 cfa for one month but be warned! If the nice woman completes the form herself, she will charge another 5'000 cfa! When we arrived and asked about the price, she told us it costs 75'000. So we only found it out by chance!
One other annoying thing is, that the one month visa starts from the date of issue! We had a huge discussion with the woman and after some time the ambassador joined us. He made us a good offer: 45 days for 80'000 cfa.
They print the biometric visa in the spot. You can do also copies at the embassy for 100cfa each.

Report Check-In

Visa cost 70.000. Needed reservation, yellow card, and personal insurance. Very efficient process completed on the spot. It may be possible to get the visa at the border for 50.000.

Report Check-In

Easy and friendly. Takes about 1 hour to process the visa. I was asked for a hotel booking, yellow fever, copy passport, copy Cameroon visa and insurance. They take fingerprints and pictures and print the visa on the spot. 75 000 CFA. Friendly lady. Copy machine on the street just outside the embassy.

Report Check-In

Visa price now 75K CFA for a one month single entry!

I did not require a travel insurance certificate, and the visa was processed whilst I waited.
I asked for a price list and was shown a hand drawn graph with a stamp on it with prices, they were happy to issue a receipt for the full amount.

Friendly ish staff who even filled out the forms for me

Report Check-In

One passport photo, copy of yellow fever, hotel booking that we booked on Jumia without paying for and cancelled (they complained about it not having a payment stamp but we pointed out we couldn't have a stamp for a hotel in Libreville while sitting in Yaoundé) and travel insurance with Gabon listed on it (nothing a bit of photoshopping couldn't fix). Make sure you have long pants, they wouldn't let me in with shorts so put my moto pants back on. 70,000CFA for same day. We stuck around and it was good because they called us in numerous times to fill out more forms. All in all a bit tiresome but easy enough.
