I did get my Togo visa - coming from Benin (stamp passport out at the police station) - at this point, at around 11am, we had to wait for the chief to come back from his food outing. Easily done and I was told I tldojt have to stop anywhere else. Customs 100m later didn't even blink, yet my backpack was searched by some armed uniformed soldiers at another checkpoint later - no problems.
Report Check-InHere is only customs, no immigration stamps (or at least not at 7am). For immigration you must go to Nadoba village a few km down the road where you get a proper 15 days visa for 25k. No need to go to Kara office unless you want to extend it.

From Benin to Togo
Custom with carnet quick and easy. Without carnet you take lassez-passez for 7000 cfa.
Then you go few km to register in a book at police station. Then they tell you to go to Kara to buy a visa.
I can't confirm the coordinates but first in Togo was the customs office which was very friendly and carnet stamped very quickly. Next is finding the immigration which was a ways further down the road, in the village, with a friendly guy sitting on the side of the road with some stamps and the entry book next to a small sign that said police. There's no barrier and he made no effort to stop us but was quick and friendly after I stopped.
