Description

Big salt sea with flamingo's and other birdlife. Entrance fee is 1000Ksh pp and 1000 Ksh for the car. There is a camp site, but we parked our truck next to the Magadi Sport Club (MSC) for free.
The MSC has a bar and restaurant and a swimming pool we did not use.

This is where you pay the entry fee. Ksh1,000 per adult + 500 per vehicle (for 4WD pickup). Covers a 48hr period.

Camping an extra Ksh1,000 per person.

Go right to the far end of the lake and you reach the hot springs. You can camp anywhere on the lake shore around here, but we parked quite far from the springs themselves as the Maasai sellers are a bit of a nuisance. It’s basically wild camping with the flamingoes and jackals, although there are some clean long drop toilets available. A lovely spot but unfortunately quite a lot of litter (glass bottles, toilet paper, etc) in the bushes nearby, and a lot of people seem to have used the bushes instead of the toilet provided.
