No toilet available just a pit latrine shared with the workers which is okay but they wanted 35.000 so I didn’t stay as that is way too much for a building site with lots noise... so this place is closed basically and doesn’t want people to camp at the moment. a pity as I drove especially here and had to find another place late in the afternoon and they didn’t want to accommodate me in any way.... update for October 2020; the place is renovated and open again but 15.000ugx for a forest walk and a lodge with rooms 200USD and upwards. All owned by the indian man who owns most of this area and has many many children with many women in the area. Not a place to be supported is my opinion after hearing the stories the last 7 months staying in the area...

still renovating the place. they say they will be ready to open end of march but that seems optimistic!
we could camp with no facilities for 40 000 per night (2 adults, 3 kids).
and they will ask 35 000 ppn when it re-opens (new owner).

Place under renovation until March 2020.
It's a very beautiful place on the lake. Very nice and well made walking tracks, around the lake, on top of the crater and in the forest where you can spot many monkeys and hornbills.
The only thing is they want to rise the price to 35.000...

Nice natural atmosphere, little bit like in the jungle. Frogs make a very intensive concert at night. Very friendly stuff, abolutions basic but working. Payed Ush 10.000 ppn.

Big recreation area with small campground at the Lake Kasenda. Some shade of trees and you can use the shelters. Possibiity to swim in the Lake.
Restaurant and bar. Simple ablution with cold shower, although the staff will heat it up when you ask for it. Beautiful environment.
