Bought Mercosur insurance for my motorcycle here today. If you want to pay in 1 payment, the minimum amount is 6 months (with a 10% discount) and you must pay at RapiPago at the Alto Noa shopping mall.

If you pay by credit card you can have a discounted rate, but then you have to contact them to cancel your policy or it will renew and charge your card again.

EDIT. We received a message from them mentioned they start to make insurance online and you client can pay by PayPal. We didn't test it but I check in here to inform the overlanders.

Not possible to buy insurance for multiple countries, only Argentina. (Canadian motorcycle) 900 pesos for three months. Not possible for shorter or longer. Didn’t purchase. SAS insurance down the road was 1020 pesos for 6 months, all Mercosur countries, much better.

Quick and easy moto insurance for our 1991 Africa Twin. We were able to buy just 2 months worth which includes Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay and Brazil for 168 pesos a month. Bargain. You need to pay the premium at the RapiPago round the corner as they don't accept cash in the office. Go in the morning as the RapiPago closes at 1pm and the seguros closes at 3pm.

Pretty simple process. I didn’t pay anything at the office but have to go make payment at rapipago. 623ars per month for a truck with camper. Covers AR CL BR BO UY 6 month policy

Watch out for these guys. We asked and paid for 6 months of Mercosur insurance. We were very clear on the 6 month thing and our contract states this. But it turns out they have just keep charging us every month, and will do so up until a 12 month period - claiming that the contract was 12 months. We're in the process of cancelling it now (July '17).

We went to the other two places in town and they no longer exist/offer insurance to foreigners but one pointed us to this place. Also covers for Chile, Paraguay, Bolivia, Uruguay. Third party and rescue (up to 100km). 360 argentine pesos per month for our LR Defender 2005. 6 month minimum but if you use only 4 months for example you email them and they only charge you for what you use (to the day). Very friendly people.
