Description

Locals from Huamuchil just realised a public beach for everyone to enjoy. Which is rare in non touristic places. They are very proud of it and very welcoming. The sea doesn’t have a current so you can swim. It is rocky on the right sight, enter the sea from the far left side of the beach. There is a sign for the beach on the mainroad.

There were building palapas and it looks like they are finishing soon.

One of the people that helped realise the beach, said it’s ok to camp there and advised to inform the police that you are there. The police is friendly here. Or ask the locals to inform them.

I was there on a Sunday. I got several invites from families to join their dinner and sleep in their house. So ended up doing that.

The town Huamúchil is at walking distance and has several shops and food to take away. But a lot of people selling from home, so ask around. There is a bar as well on the main road.

If you are in need for petrol or engine oil. Ask around for Rogelio and his wife Lupita, they are selling from home. Rogelio is the mechanic of the town as well.

coming and going is some kilometres of 2nd class dirt road. doable with any kind of car. off the beaten treck destination/not touristic, so depends on you if you like this or not. wind calmed down during night and in the morning the sea was flat and blue. there are bucket toilets. very friendly police and locals.

Report Check-In

Nice spot at the beach. A few of the palapas are already done and it will fit about 5 or 6 tents. While we were staying there for the night in total we were with 4 tents and 1 pickup truck. When we already set up the tent, locals came and starting playing volleybal. They didn’t bother that we were camping there. The sea wasn’t swimmable because there were jellyfish everywhere. While we were staying there, during the night there was a really strong wind. Almost too much noise to sleep. In the morning the local police came to continue building the rest of the palapas.

As described, chiiilll vibes, hammack-style everywhere. Came here cycling when it was already dark (7:10pm). Let the magic happen and boom camped at people's house. Recommend 100%.

Went at playa primera Boca in the morning for a swim. Palapas where you can camp, not a lot of ppl. Enjoy before plastic takes it over.

Overwhelming the interest and happiness of the locals towards you and your lifestyle (millions of questions + dinner invitations) so if you are love living in your bubble don’t come here
