Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Airplane noise wasn’t as bad as I had feared. Like other said, you need basic energy in your vehicle to camp here. Despite what the website says, I was able to call and they were willing to make a same day reservation over the phone. Verizon data very very slow, 100 to 200 kb per second free Wi-Fi available at the office.
Report Check-InThe dry camping is very nice-almost like being on the beach. The information about what campers are allowed is very difficult to find, and you may be surprised. Only campers that have the water supply, a bed, and a dinette or allow. None of this information can be found on the website even the information to give you about the camp rules is incomplete. While the people are very nice and try to be helpful they are city workers and their hands are tied with nebulous rules. They don’t even understand. But it’s a nice campground. The price is reasonable and for few nights if you are allowed to stay, it’s fine.
Report Check-InStaff super unfriendly and unmotivated. Ultra loud due to airport right behind the campground. Sanitaries disgusting. Would never go there again
Report Check-InThe new dry camp areas are nice. Much roomier than the main area. Stinky when the wind shifts since the sewage treatment plant is across the highway. Usually you get a nice breeze off the ocean and it’s not a problem. Warm’ish’ showers are free.
Report Check-InUrban park, but directly on the beach with bike path access to Marina Del Ray. Great spot.
Report Check-InAcabamos ficando 3 noites aqui.
Hello
Yes, it's not a dream place...but...!
For us it do the job, for 55 $ you have a place for your motorhome on the beach.
Clean restroom, BBQ . full hook up and electricity.
You have the path bike just in front of and you are to 8/10 miles from Santa Monica and Venice Beach in bicycle.
If want a Uber (6 places so it's 30 % more expensive) for Beverly Hills or Hollywood it's around 50$ and 50mn.
But, yes you have a lot of plane during the day and it' noisy but in the night we sleep well.
For this price to LA we think it's ok.
Enjoy your LA trip...
This place is the worst and most expensive place we have stayed to date in Canada and USA. We ended up just leaving and and stayed in the streets, despite that we payed ridiculous 75$ for one night.
Report Check-InLike a large expensive parking lot. Only safer and right by the beach.
There are mostly only big RVs. We stayed with our van for two nights to clean it and pack everything for the flight back home.
Really close to the airport. So close that you really can hear everything plane starting in LAX (1 every minute).
Upside: it is really directly on the beach. Also my girlfriend saw dolphins.
