Not free anymore. Now they are asking 100 pesos per person! We did not go. They are going to achieve to kill the tourism with these nonsense prices!

If's on your way and time management you have to see this " natural show"; it was pretty busy when we showed up around 5pm ; there were two volunteers and at least 25-30 people- the rules says: no group bigger then 15.- but they don't care about that; great show..still free ; we gave 50Pesos as a tip

Report Check-In

Great spectacle! Still free, there is a volunteer guard that takes care of the spot, would be nice if you can tip him.

SUPER COOL!
They came out at exactly 5pm when we were there. Glad we showed up early as about 30 people showed up. Really cool to see!

Report Check-In

Still free and still a really great experience! Around this time of year they fly out at 18h20, best be there around 18h. There’s an employee of the reserva biosfera to register you and give you some information. Really nice!! Small parking lot, definitely not recommended for big rigs.

Just WOW! Totally worth it. Calculate a 5-10 minutes walk from your car to the cave. We arrived at 7:30 at the cave. The bats were already flying like crazy. A woman said they started flying around 7pm.

Einzigartig. Wow.

As described, millions of bats exiting a sinkhole at sundown, creating an amazing spectacle. In this period they fly around 17h30. Note: the road/parking just pops up, there is no sign, so be on the lookout or you might miss it. 5 min walk to the sinkhole. Still free. Worth the visit!

Amazing.

Report Check-In

Amazing show. The police was here to help to the stationnement (very friendly). The show has begun at 5.30pm but we are here at 5 o.clock to have a good place in the top of the cave (you are not inside the cave). It was fabulous to see the growth of the flyshow between 5 and 5.30.

Report Check-In

wonderfull around 16h45 at this time of year

Report Check-In

warning ! from mid-may bats are flying out at 8 pm. Which means the show is barely visible and hardly screenable (à guide said better not to use flash that disturbs them), we met people waiting sincèrement 5:30 pm as their guide told them to do so, they were à bit desapointed... However it's still quite impressive. if they weren't there the region would be infested by mosquitos and sand flies, and some night-opening orchideas wouldn't be pollinated. Thanks a lot little ones!

Report Check-In

Really awesome! As described by others. The flight started about 7pm. A really special thing to see 3.5+ million bats (according to a fellow watcher) exit the cave entrance in a thick, steady stream. You could feel the wind the whirlwind of bats creates. Amazing.

Millionen von Fledermäusen fliegen eine Stunde vor Sonnenuntergang aus der Höhle. Achtung nicht alleine hier parken, wir wurden mehrmals gewarnt wegen bewaffneten Raubüberfällen auf Touristen

Report Check-In

Wonderful. Safe, cops park here during event to give security. An absolute must. With a big rig, pull off parallel to road, don't drive into tiny parking.

Report Check-In
