You can take a guide (ask at tourist information) but you can also see the island by yourself.
- entrance to house of slaves is 500 cfa pp (12-3 pm is a lunch break)
- museum of history is 500 cfa pp but all info is only in french : (open all day till 5 pm
- at the tourist info we were told to pay additional 500 pp for a tourist tax
There is also a castle with a view of island, many craft shops and restaurants. It's really nice island for a walk with beautiful architecture. Worth the visit if you have time.

House of the slaves is 1500 for non resident foreigners, but unfortunately many rooms are under renovation right now (2/2023).
Very peaceful island, wish we had stayed over night as many souvenir sellers leave the island in the evening and it gets really quiet…
